Does anyone has experience applying under First-Timer and Second-Timer Couple Applicants? As a first-timer, he/she will be able to enjoy half a grant and can apply for HDB loan, right? However, does the second timer applicant still needs to pay resale levy since he/she has taken a grant previously? Thanks!

Thanks to all whom responded. I sold it at 1999 thus should be much more now. It just seems so unfair cause they never tell us all these when we first sell the flat. Anyway, already have resale twice. Just thought it will be nice to have BTO for a change. Since this is the case, just stay put and renovate. Cheers!

Yes, I sold it before 3 March 2006. I think it was more than $170K - ridiculous to buy BTO with that amount. Is there any reasons why they create the 2 schemes? I really don't understand.
-
I'm a second timer and thinking of applying for BTO. As my 1st house was 5 room, does that mean I need to pay $45K based on this website? I called them to reconfirm but was told to pay about 3 times more due to compounding interest over the years! Please advise. Thanks!

Hi, I am with UOB for 15 years loan and on fixed rate for the 1st, 3 years. By mid of this year, my fixed rate will end. Thus, does this mean I won't be able to refinance if the amount falls below $100K? Please advise. If not, it will be difficult to refinance, isn't it? What other option can I have?

Qn: How Long Do You All Normall Use Your Aircon Before Changing?
heyhoe replied to kajua's topic in Electronics & Electricals
I think it depends on the condition of the aircond. I kept mine - 5 years resale flat. I've done servicing. 2 chemical wash - for those use often and just normal wash for the other one. Just hope that it's okay. -

I had my final inspection on my resale flat and discover a crack on my parquet flooring. Can I ask them to replace? Or is too late? -
I've the same problem but this was done by previous owner (resale flat). Anyone has any contact to recommend? Also, any idea if we can get the previous owner to rectify?

Is Window Grill Necessary?
heyhoe replied to star77's topic in RENOVATION IDEAS: Interior Design Themes, Space Planning
Chiang, the P117 Ventilation Window Lock seems interesting. I'm checking with one of the supplier here....they might be able to almost similar product, but it is made in NZ. Waiting for his feedback on the product spec and he mentioned that it needs minimum quantity to import the products. Also, wondering if anyone has contractor that is willing to install the product. Maybe we can do a spree to bring the product in. Cheers! -
Thank you Mr. Chong. He's very busy only gets his assistant to call and said 凶. Already view more than 10 houses and everytime I like a house always 凶 otherwise it is too expensive to purchase. Now, give up already ... OTP a unit already but scared to let him see. I want to know if you can advice me if I should get a FSM to view. The only problem is I don't want or rather no budget to renovate anymore. Possible to remedy with just some FS ornaments? Eer, Mr. Chong I've some questions. Possible for you to PM me since I can't PM u? Thanks!

saw something similar at V-Hive but find it rather flimsy. 3 fold only if I'm not mistaken. Cheers,

Thanks mighty6 and great to know I'll have a great neighbour Oic.....that explains. No, just join only. Hope to know more neighbours in time to come. Now, hoping everything will go smoothly
-
I'm back. Just signed my OTP . If everything goes smoothly, will be moving to the cluster opposite Central Christian Church. No idea which cluster is that. Oh No! Punggol.org is down
-
Dear Mr. Chong, Please help as I've found a unit that I like. However, the FSM said it is "Shiong" based on the main door. What does it mean? Is there any remedy? Also, basing on the floor plan alone is this accurate?

Confirm it's a drain. The Fengshui Master is busy ..... argh! Still waiting for his reply.
-
Can anyone advise? I've seen a unit that I like but from the window of the living room I can see a stretch of drain . Is it good in terms of fengshui? Anyone knows?
-
Thanks all, decided not to pursue afterall.

I don't intend to pay rent as they agree to let me move in earlier if the transaction goes thru. I just need to know that they don't play me out later....otherwise, no place to stay and I can't do minimal renovation. I'm thinking of doing a tenancy agreement just to be on the safe side. Also, thanks Latitude for your advise.
