Is the black framed door for bathrooms? Is it a glass door? I've been looking for bathroom doors and I find this is the nicest one i've seen so far! i don't like bi-folds because my previous place have bi-folds and have a lot of problems and also pretty loud when you close them. Can you PM me how much is your door? Thanks!

I told my contract to make it 750mm for me, didn't go higher because otherwise the hood will be so high above the backsplash! i am using tempered glass as backsplash so there will be a "几“ shape under the hood, at first was a little worried that it won't look so nice, but eventually caved in for practical reasons. Anyways it's more important to have a hood that works as opposed to just look nice! We also get the same oven haha.

A Different 3 Rm Flat
roundrabbit replied to Changbp's topic in Reno t-Blog Chat - HDB BTO Interior Design and Renovation
I saw this in Hafary but is quite expensive. May I know from what US website did you buy this? -
Hi, congrats on the handover, really enjoyed your t-blog! Is your hood from Fujioh? Looks a lot like model FS890 which I also bought, if so may I know what's the distance between your hood and hob? I bought from hoe kee and the installation guide they gave me says 700mm to 800mm while the manual i downloaded from fujioh website says 800mm, quite strange the same model has different guides?

Thanks so much for checking for me! Checked with contractor, seems like due to the level floor in kitchen and living room, I will have to have a kerb to hide the drainage pipe! Not the best, but there seems no other way to relocate the sink..

Wow, thanks for taking the time to look it up! I asked the contractor, turns out my kitchen is level with living room (I have open concept kitchen), while usually kitchen is 100mm lower than living room. So no space for the pipe under the tiles for me T.T

I am doing exactly the same thing - the main original floor trap location does not change and just need to have a pipe connecting the sink to the floor trap..and my contractor insisted that it is not allowed to bury the drainage pipe in the cement! I did some reading online and also a search on Renotalk, it seems HDB does not allow any kind of bury pipes/electrical wires in the cement under the floor tiles..I am very confused now!

May I know if your contractor concealed the drainage pipe in the cement under floor tiles for you? I am also relocating the sink and therefore needs to have a drainage pipe from the sink to the original waste hole, but my contractor said HDB doesn't allow you to conceal drainage pipe (actually I believe it's burying any pipes in the cement is not allowed, but maybe because drainage pipe is 50mm dia quite big so he doesn't want to take the risk).

Hi! LOVE your home! Especially the kitchen island! May I know how did you get electrical wire connected to your island? I notice you have power plugs below your Kompacplus top. I'm doing a similar stand-alone kitchen island as yours as my flat the previous owner already hacked the kitchen walls, however, I'm having major headaches on how to supply electricity and water to my island as my contractor told me have to run the pipe/wire from the wall where the hob is (which is opposite to the island), but HDB won't allow conceal pipe/wire casing underneath the tiles/in the cement, therefore there will be a 3-inch kerb in my kitchen floor from the hob cabinet to the island! OMG think it will be so ugly!
