GOSH!! i really love ur bathrooms, ur mixers, toilet tiles!!!.... the combi veri nice... how much u spent for each toilet? i also noticed u used stainless steel for the pipings isit good? cos heard from forumers say stainless steel breaks easily but i like the effect as in the colour blends in with the tiles.. cos i will be overlaying my mbr toilet only so expensive to do the mrb toilet thats why common toilet leave it as it is lol!! although veri ugly but nvm !! ... thinking whether to choose copper or stainless steel pipes leh

ohh.. may i ask the TO of urs name Mr Sng? cos my fiance say TO Mr sng will be coming for another appointment to see the tiles which i got no idea who is he cos nv seen him b4. because yesterday the contractor argue say the tiles that we mark not all r hollow tiles n say we cant just use coins to check.. so when the TO come and check they feel it is not hollow they will not change. i m not sure if im right i just feel that they see us young young they want to bully us. but nvm as u say insist that they change. cos really not fair to me to keep my eyes close when i know what is happening. thnks load for advice

Yeah man~~ straight forward is good cos u don hide anything .. then ppl like me who got no knowledge of reno/house stuff can learn ma keke.. ya sometimes must consider what to do .. for me i try not to hv too much 'high maintainence/complicated' reno/furnishing, like those which needs to be constantly cleaned cos will trap dust kind. i am allergy to dust and dirt me doing plain plain de Lbox and false ceiling, not that L shape kind which they put the light hidden from the side

ya mr seah is a nice guy.. i don know what is the contractor's name.. but i know the notice previously pasted at my door there it says the incharge is lawrence...did u encounter problem with the contractor previously? yesterday my id was asking if i checked for defects like hollow or chip tiles?cos as a first timer i dint know how to check.. so my id thought me to knock on the tiles to find out, i realised there are about more than 10 hollow tiles in living and bedrooms. then only left with toilets and kitchen i din check because don hv enough time cos i was rushing to work. thanks angelwrath and leen for reading through my thread and giving me advice... will see what we can do

TO meaning the officer? i only know his name is mr seah. u mean u had ur tiles changed because the spacing is big? but they say cant change cos this is not consider defects... haizz !!

Thats alot of knowledge hehe... thanks! will take note.. i am quoted $3480 for our mbr toilet, will change everything as for the tiling will overlay so no hacking. fiance and me at first feel the pink toilet given by hdb acceptable but my collegue say the hdb forum virtual showflat they say veri ugly.. then i told fiance he say wan to change .. abit heart pain for me cos is brand new but still we change it. only common toilet we nv change. will update on the outcome soon. cos have arrange for the hdb officer to come see our house tiles as the living room there is a line of tiles about 3.5cm big i feel veri sad hope they can shift the tiles for me so now cannot do anything

oh i gotten my keys but hvn wash the floor... then what u did about the floor tiles big gaps? can do anything about it? can report to hdb? they entertain or not? cos i also noticed my common toilet door hinge is rusty and both toilets bowls flush button rusty. don know how to report. btw candyprincess any update of pic of ur house? cos i saw ur 3D veri nice veri excited to see hhahahaa

thanks! wow~~ bang bang~~ i cant imagine till my turn i will spend how much ..so now must really source for some good deals.. if not kena chop by ppl !! btw candy...i also have the same floor plan as u also in sembwang so thinking maybe can ask for ur comment.. not sure if u encounter or notice the floor HDB given us right? the floor gap quite big.. cos today i went in with fiance then i keep looking at the floor tiles from living to all rooms noticed some gaps between the beige tiles quite big to me which i saw at showflats is much smaller.. but fiance say the white cement overflow and cover the tiles corner because it is still new thats why it looks big <--- don know how to explain the white gap between the tiles hope u understand.. hahahahaha but i just feel the gap is big !! this issue canot do anything de right? HDB don entertain de right?

Today went down to the flat again... noticed the toilet bowls flushing button is rusty (green rough stains) for both toilets. Cos we will be changing the whole MBR toilet to our dream toilet so is not an issue for the toilet bowl. we will leave the common toilet as it is given by HDB.. but the common toilet not only the toilet bowl flush botton is rusty the hinge of the toilet door also rusty then the door frame is stained brown by the rust. U guys think i can request HDB to change me new toilet bowl and door for common toilet? !! How do i get them to do it and there is a time frame of 7 days inspection izit?? need advice.. thanks my ID also say without hacking he can finish reno in less than a week... then i went speechless cos im thinking can finish so fast then the workmanship !! will be jialat hahaha... for me so long b4 cny can move in happy enough le no need to rush !!

Oh icic... today the officer din tell me luckily u mention here i will take note..thanks thanks! cos the sales officer she only say the building is 6 years old already, only building less than 3 years old cannot hack toilet so we can go ahead doing the toilet. but me and fiance think that we are over laying the tiles cos cheaper so wont be doing any hacking. But b4 we do anything we will ask again about e warranty.. btw how much u do the overall reno?

Cos i see from ur 3D image u did quite alot of things tho.. also got a question to ask.. ur MBR toilet have any shower screen given by HDB? Not sure if u rem the previous thread i was talking about when i visited the 339 showflat the officer told me you will get exactly what u see from the showflat. then today after i gotten key fiance and me went to open door he went to check the water supply i went to the MBR then saw the MBR toilet don hv the sliding door shower screen i saw at the showflat.. most probably we will change the whole MBR toilet

HEHE got my key today... i also went to 2nd floor to apply water and electric supply. But today sembawang raining then we forgot to bring bulbs for testing so cant see anything veri dark... tomorrow then we will go again..

sorry ah first time here so want to know when u gotten ur keys right.. there is water supply already? or we need to go apply for water supply to my unit? cos im thinking if there is not water supply then i wont know if the toilet bowls or pipes are leaking !! and also wat are the things to check or maybe u have a cheklist for the inspection u can share with me ? Talking about reno i am still thinking if i should change the wall and floor tiles of the 2 toilets (default by hdb - common toilet is blue tiles with beige sink and tbowl, MBR toilet is pink tiles, tbowl and vanity top). tot of changing to white tiles.. i read through some blogs i found out that some owners don hack away their old tiles instead they lay the new tiles on top. I wonder is it lasting and cheaper to do it this way? how much will it cost anyone can advice? Thanks
