Yup.. Nowadays alot of parents are like that.. But no choice.. Singapore is a super competitive country to live in.. Otherwise, how to earn $$?
-
Hmmm.. Force ar? Maybe not leh.. I am more concerned about their schooling abilities.. If their results are poor, confirm will force them to go for tuition classes.. Why leh? You wanna have kids soon?
-
Hmm... I don't know about you guys... But for me, shoes wear out pretty fast.. Maybe I am too rough or I don't bother taking care of my shoes at all.. When I reach home, I don't keep my shoes properly.. I just keep them aside.. Years ago, I bought Charles & Keith.. But somehow, their shoes don't last that long for me.. The most, half a year, I need to get a new pair... And while getting a replacement, I might end up buying more than 1 pair, as not all are suitable for my feet.. In the end, I can spend easily 300-400 for a pair of comfortable heels over 1 year.. Which in my opinion, is not worth it.. But I had a pair of Gucci heels, bought 4 years ago.. I wore it to work everyday in my previous job.. Never bother taking care of it, but till date, the shoes are still in perfect condition.. Becoz of this reason, it greatly reduced the number of new shoes I need to buy.. The heels cost me 580 bucks, but it lasted me for 4 years liao.. And I believe, more years to come.. So, in the long run, I am saving $, not wasting.. It's not becoz I got high quality life.. I earn my salary, I just wanna buy something nice to spoil myself once in a while.. Somemore, I don't like holidays.. So, other than saving my $$ up, I will just spend on luxury items.. But now, with a flat to my own name, I reduced the buying of luxury items too.. It's not about whether you can buy or not, but a matter of whether you want it or not...

Errr.. Not counted meh? Branded brands are like Armani, Ferragamo, LV, Gucci, Polo, Guess etc.. All these can cost you easily 100++ for a top.. Yup.. Somemore, you cannot try leh.. You won't know whether you fit or not.. But real shopping, you try, sometimes, out of 10, 3 or 4 might not fit, thus, you save the $$... That's how I feel.. Tops very hard to buy.. Coz I'm taller, always end up looking short on me even though it looks ok on the model online.. It goes the same for skirts.. End up cannot wear coz can see half my bu tt...
-
No leh.. I also got shop for non-branded stuffs.. Eg, shoes, I can buy from Gripz, Aldo etc.. Clothes, also buy from M'phosis, and those branded shops in Far East.. Only once in a while can indulge in branded things.. His savings also suffered quite abit after we got married.. Now, trying hard to top it up.. Lucky he got FD.. Arbo, sooner or later, also used up one.. Very hard to control spending.. Our next big target for the home is a pool table.. Hopefully, can get by end of the year, make it before next year CNY... Online shopping also very expensive leh.. I used to shop online, then end up spending 200-500 each trip.. Even more siong than real shopping..
-
Ok lar.. I got 2 sides of me.. 1 side is very auntie.. Always talking about cooking etc.. The other side, I still like shopping for branded items, beautiful shirts and dresses.. At home, must be xian qi liang mu... Go out, must be able to talk about the economy, politics etc.. Singapore, very hard to survive.. This morning, my boy is nagging about the increasing ERP charges and petrol...

Nope nope.. My boy wanna buy some clothes and shoes.. We going town to shop.. After that, shun bian go Marketplace to shop for groceries.. There very big and lesser aunties to snatch tomatoes from us... No lar.. I am leanring new dishes mah.. She cooking roasted chicken yesterday.. I am learning from her.. That's why I stand beside her.. Not to observe her, but to learn new dishes...

Since Uncle said ok, guess, it should be fine.. I mean, if you are planning on increasing the number of lessons, then should be ok.. Preparations is impt.. Try not to go for re-test.. Waste of time & money.. That's why I think, must full-equip then chiong!! Less tired, but less healthy at the same time.. My boy don't like the soup she boils.. And he don't drink at all.. End up drinking those sweet things like ice milo, honey or soft drinks.. When I cook, he will drink the soup, and thus giving him no room for those unhealthy drinks.. Hmm.. I seldom initiate shopping mah.. Guess he thinks I must be craving for 1.. And he wanna shops before he starts work.. Marketplace got more stuffs than NTUC.. Although some local brands, they do not carry.. No doubt their prices are slightly higher, but we really love shopping there.. Very big and so much less packed than NTUC!! Prepare ingredients 1st? Hmm.. Don't really like that idea.. Eg, vegetables.. You cut and put in fridge, it will not be as fresh as before you slice them.. Meat wise, also very hard to prepare 1st..
-
Tonight we going Orchard... My boy says he wanna bring me go shopping... We also going to buy groceries at Marketplace at Paragon too... Wah.. Very hard leh.. I long long time never do this kind of thingy liao.. Don't think my rusty brain can helps.. Hmm.. I prefer to cook myself.. Yesterday, his maid cooked and I stood beside watching.. I realized she used alot of salt and sugar etc.. No good to eat long term... Haiz.. But no choice lar.. By the time we get home, already pretty late liao.. If I choose to cook still, cooking will starts only about 7pm.. Late by 30-450 mins..

What??? You haven start learning parking ar???? Then you so fast want to book test date liao? You better arrange for more lessons.. Then you will have more practice in the circuit.. Sigh.. My company don't have leh.. Boss's say is the last say.. Although I do not deny we got quite some benefits that are really ... But hor, also got selfish times also lar.. Like our new office, now undergoing renovation.. He replan the whole layout coz he wanted a bigger office, making the spaces for individual table to be smaller.. Thus, all our tables and chairs are brand new coz need to tailor-make... Haiz.. I won't be able to cook everyday soon.. My boy is starting job next week... And we most likely will be going back to his mum's place for dinner on weekdays.. Coz his office very near to his mum's place.. I can only cook on weekends liao.. Abit sad to hear that initially..
-
That's good... You can park liao? How many times you frequent the circuit? Wah.. Your company so nice? Still will ask for suggestions from staff.. ......... Air.. I am amazed....
-

Where got rich? All poor ppl leh.. That's why go for cheap activities mah.. Freedom is when I go out shopping with my colleagues lor.. ........................................ Trust you to think of that... Ooh.. Your relatives all in the west area.. No wonder.. Both our parents are in the Toa Payoh area.. But as long as we make regular trips back home, it does not really matter where we actually stay... Singapore also not very big... Just need to waste abit of travelling time.. Ya lor.. Pretty glad that we now share common friends who can do fun activities together.. Congrats.. Which contractor did you settled with?

My boy goes with me whenever I go... My friends have also become his friends liao.. All met at the wedding.. All drive those tiong chias one.. 1 drive Skyline, 1 drive Civic, the other 1 also drives Evo... So got similar topic to chat about.. Their gfs are my best pals.. So, it's a group of us.. They are also the ones who come over on weekends frequently for games and drinks.. My boy also knows my colleagues pretty well.. If I go dinner or shopping with them, my boy will sometimes join us.. Otherwise, he will meet his ex-colleague and meet me after that and send them home...
-
We do that too.. But on weekends.. We jio friends to come over to chit chat.. Or we go out with friends for ktv or for drinks etc.. Weekdays, my time is solely for him.. Once in a blue moon, I will go shopping after work with my colleagues.. You and me quite same.. I also don't like crowded places.. Wah.. Then why you buy west side if it is so inconvenient for you? Never addict lar.. Bored mah.. Just play play lor.. Not many rounds.. Maximum only 2 rounds nia...
-
Maybe you are more out-going bah.. I used to be like that too... Guess, married life really changes me totally.. How come so late then reach home?? From office to your home need more than 1 hour ar?? I leave office at 5.30pm, I reach the MRT about 6.10pm.. My boy fetches me and I start cooking about 6.30pm.. By 7.30pm, can makan liao leh.. Unless doing more complicated dishes, then need to start about 7.45pm.. It depends.. But normally, by 8.30pm, we already makan and wash up liao... After that, we can still jio ppl play mahjong one leh...

Like that really bo bian lor.. Your job is like that? See lar.. Terrible lar.. Always try to take shortcuts.. The parents can fend for themselves.. The baby is the one suffering from all the oily things.. Eeeww... Have you ever seen pimples on a baby face?? I expected Air to suggest that liao.. Buay tahan...

Not exactly.. I pei fu Fifi for being able to take good care of her dog.. It's not easy I think.. I tried bathing my boy's Corgi before.. Very tiring.. I will rather choose to cook 8-course meal anytime.. And when they ****, they urine etc.. Many things to do... I cannot one.. My boy wants a dog.. But I told him before, if he wanna get one, he got to take care of it by himself.. I can't help on that.. Partially, becoz of my phobia for dogs too... Wah lao.. Baby you feed them char kway teow?? If you stay near me, I might consider letting your baby having his/her dinner at my place.. Pity your baby lar..
-
Everyone also can.. Just to what kind of extend nia.. But long term wise, can really drain ourselves lor.. But no choice.. This is a standard step to building a family.. In future, you won't want to ga lang ga bo when you have a kid right? Got to prepare 1st..
-
Yup.. I also miss my mummy's cooking too.. But lucky I got to taste her cooking once a week when I go home and get my poultry from her.. But my case different from you.. I married liao, but both my brothers are regulars of my mum's cooking still... So, she is not affected like your daddy... Make your hubby cook more.. You offer to wash up at times lar.. Maybe he will try to cook more in that case.. Like my boy will sometimes offer to wash up too.. Wah lao.. I know what you meant.. I am like an auntie... Last night, I even dreamt that I am pregnant, waiting to give birth!!

I did not use the stove to cook soup.. No good.. I have an individual electric one.. Use that instead.. My soup normally have those things like, gee ji, red dates, dry oysters, herbal seaweed and some herbal stuffs which I don't know the name.. Those stuffs, no need to brew very very long.. Becoz it's a small pot, and I put considerable amount of those stuffs, so, cook over the electric stove for about 40mins to 1 hour straight, under temp between 50*C to 90*C after the water starts boling.. By then, the taste will be out liao.. Good for my boy as he is always very heaty.. Sometimes, can cook those soups that can strengthen his lungs as he smokes.. Or those soups that helps to reduce coughing..
-
Nothing to pei fu.. Seriously, home cooked food is much more healthier.. I don't have MSG at home at all... I don't even use salt or sugar.. For light soy sauce, I got those organic ones.. Healthier if I need to put.. Also, try to reduce the use of oyster sauce.. Too salty.. I also drenched my vegs with light soy sauce, then add in water and thicken it with the thickening powder.. Very healthy and tasty... You are consider lucky.. Your hubby can cook.. Mine don't even know how to cook rice... No need to clean the house everyday.. Morever, you don't cook everyday.. Just vaccum 1-3 times a week can liao lar.. Save electricity.. Unless you using broom.. Tonight not cooking.. His mummy did dumplings and we are eating dinner at his place.. Then after that, go NTUC to buy vegetables for the remaining of this week... Tomorrow then cook..

Morning.. Wah, you guys still reply very actively after 5.30pm yesterday...Me already 'rush' home to cook liao.. Actually hor, in my own opinion, it's easier to cook for 2 rather for a group of 5 or more.. Reason is simple.. I only need to cater to 2 individuals' tastes and likes.. If I am also cooking for my mum and my 2 brothers, I need to take note that who don't like spicy, who don't like fried stuffs etc.. But when I am cooking for myself and my boy, I just need to care about his wants and needs.. He needs a meal that can keep him full till the night, and he wants a meal that he will not feel sick of eating.. Just cook different dishes everyday.. He loves fried stuffs, so every meal, there is bound to be fried items.. Like fried wanton, cereal prawns, fried potato chicken balls, scotch eggs, fried fish, fried chicken wings etc.. Then there is confirm soup.. Also not forgetting the vegetables.. Then another side dish of either tofu, egg, or another dish of chicken or fish or prawns, depending on the fried dish.. So, everyday, a total of 4 dishes and 1 soup.. If the soup contains ingredients that can be eaten like prawns or you tau fu, I will just cook 3 dishes.. Can search online for new dishes.. Very useful.. Btw, I already have my own collection of recipes at home.. Complied into a file..
