We talked about it before.. My mummy will stay over.. His mum is a full time nu qiang ren.. Cannot afford to get her to look after my baby... As for where my mummy sleeps, I really have no idea leh.. I got no more extra room leh... How ar? Can she sleep in same room with the baby?

Nah... Kids don't need to use expensive things.. Waste $$$... I rather pay for their food... Clothes is a waste of $$... Myself, I already wearing clothes from Cheena...

Haha.. I seriously don't think so... If yes, I would have plaster the kid's room.. I feel hor.. Kids grow up fast.. No matter how nice you do, their taste will change beri fast... I won't do any carpentry for that room.. Don't even have false ceiling leh! LOL.. Will just buy a ready bed, a ready wardrobe for clothes, and a table for computer.. No tv at all.. I am brought up this way by my mum... So, the same goes for my kids...

The mini pub, plus 2 veneer doors, plus 1 glass door, plus the plastering and wallpaper will amount up to about 10k... it's the wallpaper itself that is expensive... I know... It's like snowballing.. Becasue we don't intend to move at all... We straight away get an EA coz we wanted to stay for good even if we have kids in future.. I have frens spending only 20k for reno... But they alr plan to sell the flat off in the near future.. For us, we totally have no intention of moving at all... Thus, had make up our minds to do the house nicely once and for all... I know not many people will think like me... But I am somemore who hate changes.. Will try to avoid change... Even if I can earn alot by selling, I will still stay put... As for the car we drive, it does not belong to us mah.. It belongs to the finance company.. If we are rich, we would have fully paid the car.. To us, we just wanna have a go at this kind of turbo car at least once when we are young in our lives.. Life is like that.. You see me good, I see you good.. I have frens driving same cars as us, but none of them are as rich as what you think... Everyone has different piorities in life.. Some people want to scrimp and save now.. But we are those who will enjoy and scrimp at the same time.. We rather give up certain luxuries.. Just that no one knows.. That's great!!! At least yuor company is still giving out bonus... We also had both mid and end year bonus...Mid year also got 3 months.. But end of year, no news.. Only 13th month is cfm...

Not new flat... Got from HDB.. But when we took the keys, only left the flooring and the ugly old cornices...So, we also need to hack off everything there.. The flooring of the entire house, the wall tiles of the kitchen and both toilets.. Knock down 6 walls, reconstruct 3 walls.. Relay whole house tiles, toilet wall tiles, living room, study room, MBR's false ceiling.. I also re-wire the whole house.. Actually, we really did alot of stuffs... just that can't see at all... No lar.. Where got 100k? I only intend to spend 10k on my house nia... Nothing more than that.. My contractor comes back to me with the quote liao.. The mini pub I want will cost about 3.8k... plus the plastering and wallpapers.. about 10k or less lor.. Nothing to do after that.. Ttoally complete liao... Actually, the above, should be done during reno... But we dont wanna pay so much at 1 go... So now we slowly do up.. To you guys, it's like we do more and more.. In actual fact, we are just doing what we wanted to do back then... Coz no $$ back then, that's why doing it bit by bit now...

We both EA, should be around same area bah.. Mine is 148sqm.. Not you qian... but just wanna do it up nicely, as long as within our budget.. Previously, our budget was 50k for reno alone... But aircon cost us 4.6k... so, shot off abit.. That's why we cut out the cosy corner.. Did not do it up except for the platform & string curtain...

Issit? Ok lar.. The prices we were quoted are quite acceptable.. For the same things, I was quoted 60k by 1 ID, and 66k by another ID... And both quotes are without aircon... My 55k includes the aircon liao.. So, strictly, the reno is only 50K... It's my bloody kitchen and WIW that cost alot on the carpentry... And we chose quite expensive tiles that time... Used veneer for our carpentry also.. If we chose laminates, it will be much cheaper... Resale flat reno should be cheaper right? Mine was totally empty when I got the flat... I need to tear away the tiles, flooring and cornices... And mine got quite abit of kocking down of walls and reconstructing new walls... All the small things add to the final bill.. As for the 13th month, I just wanna contribute abit to the house... Really felt bad that my boy is always the one paying...

Yup.. Spent about 55k for the renovation alone... But again, perhaps my floor area is big... that's why it really cost quite abit for the flooring.. My carpentry also got abit.. Everything add up, it's alot liao... No lar.. to be frank, the renovation, more than half is paid by my boy... I only pay abit abit nia... That's why I never do all at 1 go... Feel bad to spend all his savings like that.. That's why now, I wanna contribute using my 13th month mah... My company already announced, 13th month, we will be getting.. That's why... Are you sure we are able to write in STRAIGHT to him? You got his email anot? But, I do know a friend who works in his office... Congrats!!!! Baby boy or girl?

Yup... But 1st time.. Left out alot of important items... Sigh..Uneven walls etc.. So, really wanna do it up nicely once and for all... Actually, no really major revamp lar.. It's consider add-ons? Wallpaper does not interfere with any of the fixtures.. No need to remove anything... Just need plastering... As for the cosy corner, always wanted to do it up... But no proper ideas.. Now, I already have the idea in mind.. Just a matter of fact when to do it nia... If that time do it during reno, then now, no need to waste my brain cells liao... Will be dusty.. 2 weeks ago, we just did plastering for 2 walls mah.. But it's quite fast.. About 1 day job.. So, most likely, just need to spend the night cleaning away... But I believe, with the final outcome, the efforts are worth it..

My reno is just purely flooring, carpentry, lightings etc.. I did not change the doors.. I did not do plastering.. No budget also.. Hahaha.. Cant bear to spend so much at 1 go... Now, I regretted not doing all those le... Sigh...

Already do the platform liao.. No choice.. Leave it empty with string curtains, really super ugly.. I see liao, also buay tahan... Must fully utilize it...

2 months later will do coz both our 13th month coming in mah... Either we do the wallpapers, or we do the mini pub plus all the doors.. As long as we never touch our savings can liao... We just treat the 13th month as bonus for us to do up the house completely.. If got extra bonus, of course, we will proceed to do everything.. To me, it's just a goal... A desire.. Anyway, we got to change the tyres of his car liao.. Another 1k+ gone...

Sigh.. Abit hor? That is also the reason why I am pushing my housewarming date further and further away... This time, really for real, had consider my final options for the house. Other than the wallpaper, will change all the bedrooms doors to the veneer kind, and change the balcony door to the glass door.. And also do up the cosy corner as a mini pub.. Already gave the contractor the design I want... Waiting for quotation nia.. But of course, all these will wait till I am 100% sure that I will not lose my job and I will be debt free lar.. Not on credit... After all the above, confirm no more things to do liao...

I am also worried about my feature wall.. Coz we kept on turning the tv around to the dining room.. Might peel at the edges too.. Guess, next time, I will just makan in the living room.. Or eat dinner at the dining room without TV...

Where got rich? If really rich, I will confirm go ahead and do liao.. Why still wait here and think think think? It's my desire only.. Hope to do it up that way.. That's why check out the prices.. And of course, I am still scared I will be jobless... Just that, I had learned to forget about it for the time being.. Think too much, I feel depressed.. Might as well forget about it.. Just stay positive lor.. Got plans and dreams, then I will want to work harder mah..

Hmm... I saw how wallpapers can change the outlook... Really super amazing.. But right now, I need to do plastering 1st then can do wallpapers for the remaining walls.. Sigh... Quite abit of trouble.. Coz very dusty.. Not rich lar...rich will have go ahead and do now liao lor.. will try to save up and see can do next month or in Jan anot... My current 2 walls plus a small feature wall cost about 1.5k for the wallpapers only... The plastering and sticking of wallpapers cost us another 800 bucks.. I also thought of that.. But I only want to do textured wallpaper for the remaining walls in my living room.. The focus will only be the current wallpaper I have.. So, it won't look messy.. As for dining room... Same lor.. Only do textured wallpaper... The main focus is still the wall with mirror plus fanciful wallpaper.. As for bedroom, same also.. Textured wallpaper.. Main focus is the current wallpaper behind our bed.. As for studyroom, no wall space for wallpaper.. coz we hang our wedding pic there.. WIW, toilets, kitchen no need do... Only left the cosy corner.. Wanna do a red and white theme there.. As for the empty room, will also leave it empty... The whole house will cost about 5k for wallpapers alone.. Plastering another 700 - 1000 bucks.. The sticking of wallpapers another 1k... We already checked the prices liao...
