Halo, Yes yes.. its lollipop pink. At first was really considering if we should try, coz it's quite a bold color, and i'm not sure if my hubby will like pink in the house. Thank God it turn out nice. HI greaycat, Yes thats my featured wall. No money to do up something nice, so thot of just painting it a color to make it more.. 'featured'. LOL! Yeah, i wanted it all white initially, coz i like white, and i think it makes the whole place look spacious and clean, but everyone keep telling me it will be very plain, and some even commented it might look like hospital, so decided to add it a few more colors!

Yeah.. its very expensive now. NOrmally i take cab before the fare hike, it cost about $17 on a normal weekday with peak hour charges. But now when i take cab to work, at the same time, it costs about $23 ($6 more) I travel from Jurong to Yishun. The fare is now 35% higher. I now take the MRT to work... LOL

LOL! Yeah true.. neighbourhood is quiet.. Even the people living there had adapted to that kind of lifestyle. I will be moving in another 2 weeks time! Pretty excited about it. BUt it seems like the progress of the reno is slow, not sure if the ID can hand over on time.

Just some random pictures... Living Room Featured. Havent finish painting. This is only the first coat. But very eager to show the ppl here! LOL MBR Wall. The ID painted the wrong color. Supposed to be in purple but they painted blue! Hahaa... Just showing you guys the color, which i think is not bad at all. But then, still going to change to purple! Bedroom. Nice color... And the paint smell so nice ok! they smell like floral scent.. Dining Lights. Went to buy this one last minute from Chinese Garden. (Think thats the shop name) for $145

You know ah.. initially me and my SO planned for the whole reno cost to be 20k including furnishing. End up now.. we are spending close to 30k for everything. However, our fridge, washing machine, dryer, microwave are all gifts from MIL, BIL and aunty. So the cost is definately higher that what you have budgeted. Eg of misc cost: We bought lightings for 1.6k. (30 PLC, 3 bedroom light, 2 designer lights) Toilet accessories & Kitchen = 2.4k We are having our AD in Jan 19th. Imagine we are now financially drained! haha.. advice is.. wedding shouldnt be so close to house reno...

Yeah yeah!! How you kow... I am using that series of paint. looking at the paint chart, it really seems to reflect light. Like glowing paint! Hopefully it will turn out nice! ID still refuse to paint our ceiling.. My reno quite slow... HDB havent really hand over to us yet, but we proceed with our reno first, no time to wait for them...

Agree Agree.. as you can see from my pictures, in the day, my place seems rather dark.. I think whether or not i paint my ceiling, i still have to on the ligths in the day. LOL...

Our L box i up... When i went to the house, it was pretty dark already, didn't manage to take pictures for the rest of the area. Our reno work is quite slow i must say, wonder if the ID can hand over to us on the 4th Jan as agreed! Praying hard.. I was wondering if i should paint the inner ceiling black. Any advice. Leaving the L box white and the rest inside black. Will it make my house looks darker? LIVING HALL DINING AREA

My advice would be, do your renovation first. The rest can come later. Renovation and furnishing cost normally adds up to more than what you have budgeted. Unless you really got lots of $$$$... Then just get whatever you like best. I think Sony will be a good choice. My sony TV used for 6 years but never give me any problem yet.

May i ask your bedside tables and the one holding your precious moment, where did you get it? Did you ID custome make it? Coz i was intending to get ID to make it, but might be a bit expensive.

Hi, Yeah, all my tiles are ceremic.. Actually when you are doing your tiles you must be careful, coz as recommended by the HDB contractor, we went to this shop to get our tiles, but they didn't tell us what kind of tiles we choose, or adviced if its good or not. End up we pay for ceramic tiles, but people say the price can buy homo tiles also. some pictures of my aircon trunking. as you can see, its not very nice, coz the trunking are all over the place. but no choice. have to just paint it. I'm going for minimalist theme, but not sure if i can achieve it. My house will be in more black and white theme.

Halo blackapple, the aircon installers will tell you how they will run their trunking from the way you tell them where you want your aircon to be. normally they will advice you the shortest route so that lesser trunking will be exposed. For mine, i haven't took the pictures of the trunking yet, but when you see it, i think you will faint. haha.. my MBR is almost covered with trunkings!! As the air con ledge is from the MBR, so normally you will see more trunkings in that room. There's no way to hide the trunkings, unless you do box up for the trunkings. But i think after you paint the room, the trunking will not be so obvious. For new flats now i think difficult to hide the trunkings. For my sis flat, her trunkings are all on the ground, so cannot see it at all. I think its not allowed now. U keep calling the HDB to ask them to rectify your defects faster. Mine took bout 2 months. But anyway i still start my reno first, coz HDB very slow one.. Which area do u stay?

Hi Renogirl, Me too, worried now. As you see in my blog, currently only the structures are up. Today as ID if she has fabricated the cabinets, she say no. We told her must be ready by 4th Jan. LOL. Coz AD is on the 19th, want to get the house before the AD.

Some updates for the flat. All the structures are up, my WIW and the study room are all partitioned up. There's a bit of problem is that, i think the hacking works were too intensed, that my ID told me that the left over wall might collapse and asked us to pay for some reinforcement work. Finally, the air con is up! Instead of the daikin system 4 that we ordered in the first place, decided to go for Fujitsu system 3 + 1 as recommended by my bro. Since not topping up any money, and the btu for each room is much higher, we decided to go for the change. But, the design of the air con not very nice leh. Island is also up!!
