Hi all, I did my reno about 2.5 years ago (old HDB block, upgraded). Since day one our toilet smells from time to time, mainly on hot days and in the afternoon. Right after the renovation I asked my Id to re-install the toilet to make sure there is no installation issue. However, the smell did not go away. The Id claimed that old HDB blocks normally have this problem and there is not much I can do about it. I do not think so so I like to explore all possible options to solve this annoyance. I can also clearly say that the smell comes right out of the toilet bowl, after flushing 1-2 times the smell gets less or goes away. There is no smell coming from below the toilet... My questions: Can a new Toilet bowl solve this problem? The one I have selected is a rather low end type, so I am willing to spend more $$$ if this really can solve the issue, it seems to me that the water level inside the toilet is very low and sometimes allows the air to vent out. Anyone knows a very experienced plumber who could assist me here? Any other ideas to find the root cause of the problem? I read in an article http://renovation-greencoal.blogspot.com/2...-bowl_5977.html Thanks for any help.. Sc

Hi all Kitchen users… I am in the final phase of buying hob and island hood, either Bellari or Cuizino, I understand that these are OEMs (localized to Singapore) hence the price advantage. There are a couple of threads about these products, generally price, quality and performacne seems to be ok. I like to get some feedback about people using these products over a longer period (> 1 year): > any feedback about service and support? > is the quality really ok or in the long term an internationla brand (Ariston etc) is the better choice? > warranty? >spare parts etc? Thanks for any information.

Ok, point noted and understood. Assuming we found a reliable ID (assessment based on 2-3 meetings, quote review, forum feedback etc) and this ID confirms he can do the wet work (move in condition) before CNY under the condition he can start Dec 1st would you guys do the project? Thanks or your shared thoughts. -

Hi all, I just bought a 3 room HDB and my first appointment is only on Dec 5th I need and want to do a complete renovation incl. hacking walls (ID evaluation and quoting ongoing) and my wish move-in date is before end of Jan 08 as my current lease expires by then. I am looking now into a possibility to expedite the whole renovation and start in November to complete at least the wet work before CNY. I got different feedback from HDB so far, some say this is not possible to start any renovation before the 1st appointment, others say it can be done under the condition the current owner is agreeable. I already have the agreement of the current owner that she will sign the required forms and let us start with the rennovation before end of Nov. Anyones know what we have to do? Any help is appreciated! Thanks
