Hi, My new house is about to complete and I am long for a security system. I see online like secom or Cisco that provide such service but at the same time there’s smarthome system that can also install cctv camera using hikvision. Can anyone let me know what’s the difference between The cctv and those security company? If using cctv by smarthome system it seems I can record it somewhere but using those security company cannot? How does this works ?

I was told solar film will actually need to replace after a few years due to degradation, not sure if it’s true. How about adding louver? I think there are quite nice design nowadays using aluminum type. Do you guys think installing solar panels will reduce the roof heat?

Guys, just to check if anyone has experience or recommendation for width of a lap pool. Will 1.5m width be too small? I know ideal is 2m but because we need to have a deck walk path which is around 60cm so if having a 2m width pool means it’s around 2.6m from boundary which east into the house space. Anyone has seen 1.5m width pool before and will it be too narrow?

My bad, yes my house is semi d and is facing slightly north west with the west side not join to the other house. That’s the side that is hot hot hot haha. This time this house is regular shape, minus point is it’s side is west facing so I am looking for any ways to minimize or remove the heat as it has now become my pimary concern. Hmmmm... the designer gave me a estimated build in of around 4100 with mezzanine(600) considered in based on recon. If rebuild isn’t it going to be so much smaller than 4100? Level1 1260, mezzanine 600, level2 1260, level 3 640, attic 350

Hi ice, I just check with the designer and I was told will Retain existing structure. I am now checking with her on the 3rd and 3.5 storey that need to build up. Also the concern is more on the lesser space that I will have of rebuild, not too much on the cost itself. If rebuild the space to build is very limited compared to recon and buying that house does not make sense if rebuild

I think so too, that’s why probably doing recon will suit better
