it should be OIA instead of Ia right. Not forgetting the volcano, hot spring and various island nearby. Red and black beach too. hmm....simply very NICE! oh ya, try to stay at FIRA, the bus depot is there and you can reach every corner of Santorini from there, airpot too. Remember to take the time schedule.

its up to individual what to keep as there are so many species just the freshwater let alone the marine. different species has different characters, living condition...... so you have to decide what you want. seriously, there are many beautiful fish besides aro. like what yoongf said, tropical fish, gold fish etc can be very nice too. just to give u some ideas, for freshwater, ppl generally keep aro, planted, goldfish, luohan, pleco, cichlid, stingray, guppy etc... you have to choose the "theme" for your tank, you want just a few giants or you like to have a community, you want clear water or you like to have black water environment or planted..... haa.........very difficult right? so read up and look at those tanks picture, it will help you to decide. but remember to get the biggest tank possible to avoid upgrading later. and yes, fish keeping is costly unless you just keep a betta in a jar. cheers!

yo, dont save on tank, get a good one. esp if u keeping aro u need at least a 5x2x2 footer which require 12mm glass to be safe. go arofanatic.com to read up more about tank system and list of tank makers. btw, u seemed to be newbie in fish keeping, better read up before jumping into the hobby. its is not difficult to rear aro as compare to planted and marine tank but not easy too as it all need basic water management, filtration etc knowledge. u wouldnt want ur $1k aro to die shortly right? fyi, a 5 footer tank with sump will easily cost u around $1.3k. if it is made of chengai wood, it will cost more. if it is made of starphire glass, it will cost even more.....all depend of what material u want. those u buy from shop are usually of 1.5 feet width which is too narrow for a grown up aro to u-turn, better get a 2ft width.(my ex-5footer cost $1.5k, my current 3-footer cost $800) cheers!

yo lavendery, i guess you staying at blk 22 or 23, while i am at blk 21. Either you are not driving or you are happy with parking at 3rd storey and above even with a season parking ticket. i woud say 90% of the time when i come home after work, i only got to park at non-season parking lot which is 3rd floor and above. sianzzzzzzz.......! And you are right, weekend and public holidays are worst. Even my friend who work in town, parked his car here and take MRT to work which is 2 stations away. ps: 1, new coffee shop at blk 26, i think? the food quite nice, 24 hrs some more! 2, if you know anyone staying at Central Green, see if they can help you to get a resident pass, save the season parking fee. hee........! cheers!

hi sino, i fully agree with you that it all depend on individual to up keep the house. FYI, i am Chinese and i have viewed some Chinese,Malay and Indian houses Dec last year. Generally, i would say 90% Malay houses are well kept. In fact, i would have bought a low floor Malay house if not because of the main door facing a T-junction. The house belong to a friendly grandmother and is not really beautifully renovated but it is neat and simple. i don't see myself spending alot to refurnish the place and am very comfortable to move in with minimum touch up. Frankly, i always find that our Malay friends really love and take good care of their family and house. On the other hand, i must agree with babytan that Indian house seemed to "smell" a little. Maybe i have not seen enough Indian house or i just not fated to see a nice one. However, of the few that i have seen, the condition and "smell" really put me off. Sorry to all Indian forumers, i dont mean to "stereo-type", i just share my personal experience during my house hunting. Actually, most of my friends share the same sentiment with me regarding Indian's house. One reason i can think of is because we are not used to the smell of Indian's cooking and .........etc. Ironically, i have Indian friends during school, work and army. i don't find them "smell". In contrary, i find them neat and well gloomed. just my 2 cents! Again, sorry if i offended anyone. mod please delete this post if it is deemed inappropriate. i really dont mean and will never pinpoint any race since we are all human and living in the same Singapore. cheers!
