hihi, anyone have powdery kitchen floors even after washing and scrubbing? Did anyone polish or sand the floor to get rid of the excess grout on the tiles? tks!

My kitchen one very jialat lor...so many holes too obvious liao. My parquet got small scratches i also didnt bother to complain. That we can tahan. haha.. 9am Today. Was surprised to see that HDB had arrange for someone to do my grout. Actually expecting the plumber to check out the burst pipe. Its a fairly swift & simple process. Less than an hr. Now I know how to do grouting liao ah...still have to wait till the pipe is fix before i can thoroughly clean up the place. and this is my living room settee with sliding doors

hi crazygirl48, i dont think they polish. They just used a semi rough sponge to get rid of the excess then sweep away. I vacuum the place after they redo my grout today. worker said i could mop the floor to clean all the dust up. yar...exactly 11k. My carpentry is not those high end type. Average ones.

Once you submitted the online defects list, you should receive an sms with the HDB officer contact number. You can call the officer during office hrs to ask whether they gotten your defects list and also arrange the inspection. Think can give them a reasonable deadline to complete ur defects, say you have to move in earlier or something. Hee

haha..guess what my kitchen grout came out when i vacumm the place. Plus the "new" white grout@ my living area also gone after the vacumming. Told the HDB contractor about it. They had the sheepish look. Think its proof of their shoddy work, yet again. Now i had to postpone all my furniture delivery till they redo the grout.

Our Completed Renovations: HHS Feature Wall Masterbed Room Wardrobe Kitchen Cabinet BiFold Doors for both toilets Ariston 30L Storage Heater mounted @ common toilet Rainshowers @ both toilets Daikin Sys3 Non-inverter And I forgot to take a picture of the living room window settee. All thats is left are the rectifications, repairs and touchups. Then the major clean-up and minor DIY paint works. Finally our furnitures' delivery. Sure hope that the pipe repairs are swift. Cant wait to move in~! U r most welcomed. =)

Cleaning up is so tiring that I forgot to take a pic of my storage heater mounting and completed carpentry.. Sanitary fittings are completed today. Major drama, plumber drilled through one of the concealed piping @ the toilet. HB & I have no idea what went wrong when we keep hearing water gushing out somewhere. We didnt know till the neighbour one floor down complained to the HDB contractor office. Mains off, no water usage until they find a way to fix it. Had to mobilized the plumber, ID, HDB officer & contractor on monday for a "meeting". ah...sian-sation....was pretty elated in the morning to see that everything is swee swee.... now this...

MIA for a few days. Updates: 1) Lbox done 2) Painting done 3) Chemical wash done 4) BiFold doors done Lights & carpentry to be up starting tomorrow. Aircon to be up mid week. Handover slated to be on 08/03/08 swee number...heehee... Our ikea study furnitures and curtains to be delivered on the same day. I am gonna have fun installing the curtains and assembling everything... The rest of the furnitures should be delivered in the next 2 weeks. More cleaning to do. And many more items on our shopping list. woohoo...excited~! BUT..... After our ID did the chemical wash, many parts of my kitchen floor grout came out~! Shoddy work of HDB? Grout shouldn't break or dislodge so easily what~!! arghh! now i dunno to aim HDB or aim my ID. zzz will post photos soon......

My quotation is 11k in total. As for the workmanship, we just looked at their office sample kitchen cabinets. We didnt do alot of reno. Just HHS feature wall, kitchen cabinets, wardrobe, Lbox & settee@living window
