went down to check out electrical appliances at Tai Sin (mentioned by gadgetman) and another store very near to KFC. the staff @ Tai Sin probably knows that we're only there to check out the price, said something like "this is the price for now, come back another time is different hor." Snobbish look...omg! prices quoted by the store near KFC is much better and the lady boss, Gina is very friendly too. dino was eyeing Mitsubitshi Folio (Titanium) and the price offered is also better than what she got over @ Mandai. even the price for Rinnai hob & hood got my eyes popping out... will check out AMK and update all.

it should be quite cheap. am thinking of going down later to check out our shortlisted items. but i heard it's a very small shop, so do get your models ready before going down. hey droplets! how're u? have u confirmed on ur ID? any progress so far? kekeke!

dino & alister, i've gotten the address for amk shop. blk 159 amk ave 4 #01-354, Everjoint. been reading other ppl's blog and found this shop to be offering pretty good prices as well. plus, now that gadgetman has found tpy to be just as valuable, we can recce nearer too. thought of 2-in-1 initially due to space issue, learnt from other sales man that though it has 10yr motor wty, it's a new launch on the motor for having a silent wash compared to belt...dunno how long this motor will last...and belt has existed for many yrs. also learnt that when one of the component in the machine spoils, u get double problems cos u can't wash nor dry. moreover, 2-in-1 can mean washing 6kg but drying only 3kg. u can only dry half the load at a time and drying can take at least 1hr. if u get a dryer seperately, u dry all at 1 go and using the same amt of time needed for half the load...which consumes more electricity. my 2 cents worth of thought la.

hi Liana79B, welcome to renotalk~ wow..u're an eager beaver! u must be feeling extremely excited! i dun have the answers for all ur questions though..but have purchased Sealy mattress. If u're moving towards the 3 'S' brands of mattress, u'll probably not go wrong. Qn 3...before u purchase ur mattress, make sure u test them...not by sitting at the edge but literally lie on it in the position u sleep when u're at home. that way, you'll know if it's really comfortable. next, u must know what kind of firmness u prefer as well...some prefer it hard as a rock, some prefers to sleep in a cloud. if u have back problem, go for a mattress that'll give good support..and if it's too firm, it's actually not very good for your back. try not to test more than 3 mattresses in a day as u'll get very confused. then it'll be the $$ factor. hahahaha!! Qn 4...i believe many of us here are doing a feature wall to cover the household shelter. p/s: i wouldn't display my unit and contact no. so openly if i were u. u could use "PM" aka Private Message by clicking on our nickname if u wanna share personal info/prices etc.
