After all the installation, we went for a final round of checks and realised some issues that need rectification. 1) Long scratch at the internal pvc of the wardrobe. 2) Paint marks on my main gate. 3) As mentioned earlier, the wire of red hanging light needs to be shorten. Think that's about all that we felt that needs rectification. Hopefully it will end smoothly.

Your house is looking good. I changed my MBR sink at the last min too. As we did not overlay the MBR toilet wall, so we just proceed to change the basin. Hope the change is worth the money.

Aircon installation day. It took around 3.5 hours to complete. But hiccup happen. The living room unit got minor fault. When the air con is on, the power light keeps blinking. The installers say need to get Toshiba person to come down coz they can't open the inside as it is under warranty. If they were to open it, the warranty will be void. Haiz. On the same day, taobao stuffs arrive. No time to check the stuffs. 2 days after the aircon installation, all the woods have arrived, meaning carpentry works will be up soon. The Rat commented that the nest looks like a warehouse. 3 days later... Tadah... Feature wall Shoes cabinet with tic tac door to cover the household shelter door. Display cum storage cabinet Kitchen cabinets MBR wardrobe Bedroom Think the end is near.

After piping installation, my ID started to work on the light, ceiling fan n window grilles. Downlights and ceiling fan in the living area up Spot lights in living room and foyer Downlights in dining area Ceiling light at kitchen Lighted living room Lights for service yard, both toilets and household shelter are all up. All lights are working perfectly. Now waiting for taobao lights to arrive. So that the ceiling lights in the bedroom and hanging light can also be up. All the grilles are also up. Now waiting for my carpentry work to start.

Air con piping. The Gain City guys are punctual. Was supposed to come at 10.30am, they reach around 15mins earlier. They even came earlier than my ID. They discussed about how to run the pipe. To me, as long as it's not too ugly, it should be fine with me. The fancoil unit for the 2 bedrooms will be above the door. As for the MBR fancoil unit, it will be fixed above the toilet door. Living room fancoil unit will be at the dining area. The only thing that needs my opinion is the trunking in the MBR toilet. My ID wanted the trunking to skirt around the beam n the ceiling of the MBR toilet while the aircon guys suggested to run across the wall. As we had chosen the thicker insulation, the trunking is also quite big. Also, the aircon guys mentioned that the more bend of the piping, the more energy the aircon will use. Since in term of appearance it wun make much of a difference, we decided to run the piping across the wall. Here are some pics of the piping that are done. Living room The pipe is push thru a false beam. My ID has built a false beam so that the aircon can be fixed onto the this position. Never thought that it can be done this way. Bedrooms MBR The pipe has been boxed up. The boxed up was not flushed with the beam because of the door. MBR toilet Please refer to the 2nd pic for the point which I mentioned earlier about whether to run the pipe across or skirt around the beam and the ceiling. This shows the pipe running across the wall.

As the ID is chasing for a lot of things, so we decided that its time we should go shopping for all the kitchen and toilet stuff... We went to GR Link. The popular place with a friendly owner. Gave us suggestions on different taps, sinks, rain shower, basin, etc. As we wanna compare prices before we make any impulse purchases. So we went next door, Poh Seng Enterprise. Every place that can be used for displaying is used up. But the person who served us seems very busy with others so most of the time, we are left alone to see the quality on our own. Adamas is a short distance away. But no feel with the shop. Hoe Kee is a nice place to look at the stuff that u wan. It can give u a gauge of what u really needs. Hua Chong recommended by my ID. The ladies working there are friendly and not pushy. The items are neatly displayed. In the end we bought hob and hood from Hoe Kee as they provide the best rate for Fujioh FG 3773 and SLM 900. Kitchen sink, kitchen tap, MBR toilet basin n tap, common toilet basin n tap was bought at GR Link. At Hua Chong, we bought mirror cabinet and rain shower. Did not take any pic of all the items. Will post the pic after my ID has installed them. Please note that Hua Chong does charge GST. Whatever they quote u is not inclusive of GST.

Buying electrical appliances burns a big hole in my small pocket. Initially wanted to get a Samsung TV due to having people telling me that Samsung has a better TV colour. But after seeing the TV side by side, we feel that the colour of Sony TV is more natural. Also, wondering whether to get a 49" or a 55". Watching both size at a distance of 3m. We can't find the lights that we want for the dining area so our next option is the great Taobao. We are also looking for the lighting for all our bedrooms. Found something that we wanted from Taobao. There is really nothing that can't be found in Taobao. Spend more than 1k for Taobao items.
