KITCHEN: I have purchased the Kraus Coriander which fits perfectly. I find it handy to use as a small dish dryer, to defrost frozen food, etc. In the photo, also the Simple Human sponge holder. good suction and looks stylish too. Yeah... a sponge holder can actually look sexy too! Both items purchased from Amazon. Teka Hob. This is the one item I have chosen the smaller one and I am glad as the kitchen is smaller than what I see in my mind. I bought this design because of the ceramic glass instead of the usual tempered glass and not only it is a stronger material, it also sits very thinly close to the counter-top giving it a sleek look Panasonic Fridge with the freezer at the bottom. My other half insist on this as he claim that freezer is lesser used and should be at the bottom and since I have no opinion on this. It is fine for me. twinklecloud, I bought my LG OLED from Gain City @ Marina Square and they were able to hold my purchase till i need it which is great because all the other furniture arrived and were sitting in the cloud of dust. I had it delivered to my new flat one day after my contractor handover because the LG installer will be the one fixing it (which I much prefer to give me a peace of mind that the TV is not going to fall off) BTW, the pricing is really attractive and you can consider to make the purchase at Gain City. I have been enjoying it for 2 days and loving it.

Thanks for dropping by to the blog .. the copper toilet wall tile is from hafary and cost about $3.50 = $4.00 ( I am sorry but I don't really remember now) We fall in love with it at first sight even though the initial plan was to use it for the floor but we changed it as we wanted to camou the copper piping. Looking forward to reading your reno process soon.

Thanks Kara! The toilet happened to be sitting in the yard area so with an open concept the separate WC and shower is able to appear bigger. By the way , my kitchen sink tap is just from Wasser Bath ..that was the time when I was really tired to choose so many items that I decided to buy everything from there . I like the clean cut look but I am sure it is copied from some brand as well Any reviews on your items in your home?

Your kitchen flooring is really funky retro , very cool! For the power points , did you consider using Eubiq ? I think it is very convenient to add the sockets as and when when needed and since your place is quote big it could be worthwhile to check it out

Hey Twinkelcloud, here is the view of the WC from the kitchen where we will be doing dishes..The WC can be seen but shower is not because we changed the angle of the shower entrance. So you see if we dont add the frosted glass doors, it will be quite an open view In this photo, you can also see that the frosted glass door is opening into the ktichen.

Went over the flat yesterday and was pleasantly surprised that no workers there and everything has been cleaned up. Fo the first time, I stepped in without shoes.. hmmm so nice! The tiny living room knocked out from bedroom 2. 30% of the room went to the WIW. My monstrous 2 meter teak wood table from Origin Asia. The brickwall finally is up. I contemplated for a long time over this because I wanted to keep cost low but yet wanted to hide the wires so final decision is here along with LG OLED One of my TB loot.I bought a few lights and this is one of the 2 which is usable

Twinklecloud! We have added a glass door between the yard (where the toilet is) and the kitchen to prevent combined smells In the beginning we ordered a clear glass panel but one day when standing at the kitchen sink, i realised that I can see the WC clearly and quickly contacted the contractor. Luckily we were able to change it to a frosted panels, so guests using the WC will be safe in our home!

My turn to tap on your research now. So with the same Samsung tag key we can unlock the Yale gate lock as well ? Because I am going gateless for a start just to see how it will work out but would like to know a back up option. Finally, we also received our lock and went down to AN digital to check out gate locks... Really no point digital locking the main door and leaving the gate without and we needed people with experience to recommend. Also we wanted to see the products for ourselves. We left with a Yale one as they said the RFID for the locks work on the same frequency as our Samsung's RFID so the same card can be used to open both doors. For convenience sake, we topped up for installation of the one we already bought.

Gorgeous tiles in the toilet and kitchen! And your toilet is so big it makes me drool. I realised tiling is really tough job and I see how difficult to cut around pipes , pipes edges, and in my case the angle of a door frame to fit the glass door. Now I understand some times there are limitations and it can't be perfect

Thanks Owl! ( presuming you are the owl and not the bear!) Eye sore is the piping coming through from outside and located so high up on the wall and it is my water supply so I cant even remove it. LOL ARE YOU SURE YOU CAN SEE THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL? I AM TIRED OF WAITING FOR MY NEW HOME!

All about the plumbing over the weekend. Went up to the flat last night to drop off a rocking chair bought at Comfor-design and voila.. saw the plumbing has all been done up! Yay... the light at the end of the tunnel , I can see it already As usual, I have bought a too big basin and a too big tap Just didnt think the unit was so small till the purchases arrived. Kohler Waterfall tap with Kohler Sink. The tap seems a little too big but I wanted a waterfall tap because of my shallow basin Kitchen tap with Kraus Sink. So dirty after their installation so just rinse the sink a little. Felt that one side of the sink has a rough texture like some particles are stuck on it. Will have to use Benetay's cleaning suggestion. Open door policy! About time that everyone stop running to the coffee shop downstairs for urgent use!

I don't buy cds anymore but I feel that it is such a shame to store my cds in a box and they will not see daylight again till maybe one day cd becomes trendy again , like the turntables now. Lots of my music are dance mixes from various djs etc so downloading 1 song by 1 song is good but can't get the dj non stop special mixes. I especially like them when I am doing housework ! What device do you all store your music in which has Bluetooth to sync to the sound bar ? The device i presume will have big storage ? Chnagbp, definitely not an audiophile but I love my music and they are the first thing in the morning and last thing at night maybe I should just get down to work and rip to them to ipod

Thanks for swinging by to reno blog and ur compliments.make the reno journey more bearable .. hahah fishing for more compliments I think the Kraus sink has been reviewed by quite a few bloggers so I put my faith in their opinion. Besides if managed to get free shipping it is almost the same price as other branded onea sold here so well worth sourcing for it. So you just store ur cds in a Box ? I would still like to play them because of the big collection so really need a lot of time to convert to digital and finally syncing them to my ipod .

21K Theme-Less 3 Room Bto
Luxexplorer replied to benetay's topic in Reno t-Blog Chat - HDB BTO Interior Design and Renovation
which is absolutely the truth. I also believe that the toilet is very important to calm down and enjoy some quiet moments to ourselves after a hectic day. Unfortunately I have limitations in this small resale flat so have to make do. Now I cant dance in there because the space only enough to shuffle around.. LOL I also feel that a piece of juicy meat done on a cast iron grill pan taste better than a regular SS. MAybe its the char grill lines which makes us feel that way but i reallt feel that is it retains flavours and more jus -
at the last count, probably about closer to 320 CDs over a long period of time , I think when CD took over cassettes At my last home, I had a TV console customized for them but I didn't bring it along because its too big for my smaller flat now. I have tried converting them and sync them to ITUNES which is then sync to my old 60GB Ipod. But problem is my laptop doesn't have enough space for all the CDs as it was totally full and when I deleted them and sync again on Ipod, it will have all the exclamation mark appearing at the side of itunes which means the original have been removed. So the main problem is i dont know of any device with such a big storage. Do I use one of those 1TB HDD? On a side note, I think there is a quality difference listening to MP3 and CD and I still love my dinosaur CDs.

Honk Honk ... double honk for the stainless steel counter-top and the red monster which I fell in love too with when you posted that photo. Absolutely gorgeous colour and I believe a first as well on the reno tblog. Your kitchen is a killer girl! The difference in height for the wardrobe could be due to wall. My ceiling and beams' height difference goes up to 1.5 cm difference in some areas so some parts are obviously crooked. So in this case, maybe it is not your contractors' fault. As for the stainless steel bottom, I think this is quite a standard for their mentality because to them is " cannot see ma, why waste money?" For them, practicality trumps aesthetically. I guess this could be a huge difference between a contractor and a real ID.

When I saw him drilling the hole and knocking on that brand new door, I was more heartpain than fascinated and in my mind I saw him telling me " oops I have cut a wrong hole ".. lol.. paranoia at its worse! Roman blinds belongs to the Italians so you made a right choice to go with zebra. Hahah. Last leg.. jiayou jiayou... I wonder if our contractor repeats this to themselves everyday when dealing with us...? lol

Does anyone still uses CD player?? My philips sound bar recently died on me after 7 years and it was great with 5.1 surround sound, DVD, CD, FM, Ipod etc. So I went looking for something similar at Gain City and saw a lot of slim sleek models but unfortunately there are simply sound bars. I asked the sales person about CD player.. and he kinda laughs and says hardly anyone uses CD anymore. Hmmmm, so I asked what about Ipod docks then... and he was like.. " it is also slowing down hardly any of the models come with ipod docks". He recommends me only the philips models which still offers these features. So am I the only dinosaur left who is using CDs? I have thousands of dollars woth of CD with no place to store and no equipment to play them..
