yikez, the cuizino hood was tested and it's faulty. we have two options, 1 is to replace the whole hood (which as stated, 1 to 1 exchange since it hd not been used) or to replace the damaged part (don't know what sensor board and circuit or something). we chose the 2nd option as we do not want to have the hood taken down and install another set which gonna involve lots of works. now the bad news, it can only be done after CNY and date to be confirmed reason? the workshop has closed for CNY. gosh, aren't they closing a bit too early considering CNY is almost a week to go? haizz.. anyway, need some help here. does anyone know where we can get those nice house number (metal or othr material) to be fitted on the metal gate or above it? i tried searching this forum bt didn't find any. thanks in advance..

hehe, depending on the material you choose lor. we asked for 2 sets instead of the proposed 1. if 1 set, i think it's ranging from $200-$280. after CNY, the price cd be more attractive. hopefully... !!

hehehe, sometimes whn too many things to consider/worry bout, it's no crime to miss out on certain stuff anyway, maybe you can consider getting those frosted film with design and paste them along (near) the edges to create similar effect

thanks... gt my ID to custom made, his original proposal was a plain piece of mirror. don't think those sold in shops has this kinda size (that fit the whole wall). went to hoe kee & ssc to get 1 for the common toilet, the biggest size they have is 4'x3'.

hi.. yeah big, maybe a lil too big liao with the bed in now not much of moving space, espec with the lcd tv mounted on the wall gt a pretty good bargain for the curtains/blinds. getting them to do my office blind as well so.. anyway, the roman blinds (2 sets) for the mbr cost $400

got it from the same company that did the solar film. roman blinds for mbr only, roller blinds for the othr 2 bdrms & day curtain for living. price is good too

Haiz, I think I am giving up. Despite the many rounds of touching ups, it still look as bad especially the paint work. The toilet & kitchen ceiling (near the corner/edge) has not been painted. When I mentioned it to the sub-con guess what he said. Ah, brush too big, those edges can not go in one. Bah, told him of course cant fit since he ws using that roller kind, huge one. Told him to use a small brush instead and he said, ok, another day. The doors are as bad. The guy who came down to install the door locks has the worst kinda attitude. Haizz, too tired to tell. !! Thanks Some photos taken yesterday: LCD tvs are in. According to the sony guy the tv comes with best preset so we don’t have to (read: should not) adjust anything. But personally find the color a bit dull, also too soft. I decreased the brightness, up the color and sharpness.

yalor, it's so much more tiring thn whn renovating. now really have to push those sub-cons to touch up, i guess they aint very interested as the job (in their term), completed. carpentry, painting, plumber works, all not done today... haizz it's a very busy day, all furniture (except beds) are in, fridge, washer, hts, everything in liao. curtain & solar film also done. took sm photos bt too tired to upload now. discovered today the cuizino hood aint working we must be one very lucky customer to have a faulty unit btw, yup, thts our 1st baby. in fact our only baby, err, for now, one more coming soon yup, our 1st house bt my 3rd hopeful to move in this thursday !!

yup, coz the original proposal wasn't like tht. i mean the glass doors are like 'randomly' positioned nah, just a comment i gt from a fella member here. nope, nt tht we dont do heavy cooking, we dont cook at all hehehe tks, hopefully we cd move in as planned. hai, just too many touch up works to go..

yeah agree, bt 1st of all have to get somebody who knows how to cook hehehe do you find the arrangement of the glass door a lil, awkward?? aiyah, all the space wd be filled up in no time hi, i believe some ID firms/contractors do provide the kitchen cabinet with pull out racks & trays. for our case, we got the pull-out racks ourselves bt the dish tray ws provided..

hi jacky777, we hd chosen color tht matches our sofa set (for the tv feature wall), it's more of dark cappuccino instead of purple. as to the shoe cabinet, it's supposed to be lighter. now with few rds of varnishing, it's close to black liao eh, the study's wall in darker blue to create contrast with the carpentry, anyway it looks better (in the draft) so.. hehehe, yup, cctv gt 4 of thm installed...

Wrong color on the study table wall in room1. It’s supposed to be dark blue, so repainting tomorrow. Love the color used in room 2, the orange-green combo looks nice. We are most satisfied with our kitchen, maybe the floor tiles is a lil too dark. Now it’s time to learn how to use it
