  1. Starting of week 3 will be carpentry. Will updates again. - Was at Spotlight(Plaza Singapura) and they do have pretty good SALE. Love the blinds
  2. Good Morning everyone, Its beean awhile since I post something.. recently between week 2, my Id came across living room and common room wall is soak/wet due to heavy downpour. He advise me to call town council to look into the matter as the inside house as we are about to do sealer and yet there's patch of wall that is soak with water. - Called Town Council Wednesday morning with regards on external waterproofing. Received call back Wed evening to confirmed and Thursday morning they will come to rectify the problem. -Thursday/Friday they have managed to sealed external waterproofing all around.   3. Hi Ks Toh, The previous pipes is so old, that I was thinking to wait for Hdb Home Improvement Programme to have change. However my Id highlighted that I was no point waiting as it is leaking. I thought of saving some $$$ but somethings are not worth savings, as such I post and say its definitely worth the $$$ to change. Hope I answer correctly.

Ohh btw why there's always hiccups during renovation... eg, "Oh, this tingy need to remove or change if not etc..." sounds familiar? On my Whatsapp grp, I do highlight on budget that at times... I cant stretch my budget... glad he understands.

  7. It's been about 2nd week now. Tiling of kitchen and toilet is up. Plastering of all walls is done. Need to do sealing. Next itinerary will be. 1. Electrical run/installation entire house. (was quoted $3.4K) did minus here and there to $2.8K 2. Lbox 3. Plumbing for water 4. Kitchen Cabinet 5. Installation of toilet bifold door/ wc/basin/heater and accessories 6. Laminate floor 7. Painting
  8. Gooday Scarlett, Good to know the good news and congrats on your new house. Seems like when WE resale buyers try as much to save cost on what can be salvage, there's always conditions of items that are not able to be saved... I guess due to the conditions of resale flat that are 30plus yrs...and most of the contractors/Id's they want the best for us home owners to stay for long without back & forth.

  14. From my experience, when renovating resale flat, there's always hiccups after one another. This is the old Piping. As much I want to salvage, save some $$$ and wait for Hdb Home Improvement Programme, The plumber highlighted that it's leaking and definitely have to change. What to do... change lor... Quoted $850 for changing all Piping : Kitchen and both Toilet. After changing to new pipe. Is it worth it? Definitely.

  22. Does anyone owned Sona Air Cooler? Any reviews on this product? TIA Aircon is too expensive. My family and I are so use to fan, but we still take Aircooler KIV.
