  1. there was a thread started @ http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...1&hl=alumix there was no response, however.. I know MuDian and Classic Furniture makes good wardrobes. If you are going for structural wardrobe systems, Alumix is slighter cheaper than Cupboards and Ikea is value for money. Do note that for structural wardrobe systems, the sliding door track is on both the top and floor. Most ppl find that the floor track traps dust. Read wen & min's blog, they use Ikea for their WIW.
  2. hi thk u. i think the ariston one also has almost same features when I compare them. the 2nd generation induction has those touch-screen button to control heat and timer. those older models using knob do not have timer function. Mayer gives free cooking ware for every purchase. Btw, Mayer have monthly promo. Sep promo just ended. i believe they will advertise Oct promo this weekend, the salesgirl told me that the prices for ariston washer is lower in Oct $200 lower for the model I wanted.
  3. the only person who can help Reload to move on happily is De Palmco. from reload's comments the contractor did not push any responsibilities and "run away". by lowering his profit margin to redo the kitchen cabinet I see sincerity. I have not read any bad contractor in this forum ever redo kitchen cabinet, they just run away! I think we should be patient and wait for the finished product. no pointing bitching here and there as it leads to nowhere. we are just rubbing salt on her wound.
  4. hi bunbun, u saw the demo? how was it? i didnt see it as I went there on a Fri. No demo
  5. wow police is here. pls everyone, there are always two sides of a story. its not fair to the poor fellow. i think Reload's choice of words has breached the forum rules: Badmouthing, Slandering and Personal Attacks
  6. miumiu, pls keep us updated. cos i'm also interested to buy. ask them abt density. more dense the better.

  8. huh, i dun believe its that dirt cheap? $28/ft is for that piece of raw material I reckon? without cutting, polishing, profiling.
  9. issit great world city Lifestorey shop? have seen it, their kitchen is great. I love the island.
  10. u can see wen and min's blog, i reckon they used wood veneer and it looks great. glossy surface can consider spray paint or high gloss laminate. last week MxDxxx had a booth at Marina Sq Home&Decor show, the cabinet is spray painted. Even the door inside is painted (both sides). But i think overall pfr is not also cheap.
  11. Mmmm... using parquet for kitchen cabinet? unheard of. If can see wood grains kind of material, it would be wood veneer?
  12. bunbun: I'm also comparing between Brandt (just launched a new model), Teka and Ariston with a budget of $1k. Teka is more ex then Brandt. ie. Brandt 2burner induction hob $999 while Teka is $1399. Ariston 4 burner Vitroceremic hob is abt $1099. I seldom cook, so it make sense that I get Brandt, since all are continental brand well known for its quality. Induction hob is safer than Vitroceremic and does not produce much heat, very important for me as my kitchen is open concept. Not sure when is the next Teka promo, but if u go to Universal Union (Geylang) or Asia Exel Marketing (IMM), they give a good disc if u buy many things from them. Take note of the pre-requisite - the electrical current required by induction hob. 2 burner usually requires 16amp and 4 required 32amp.
  13. i think I can configure it out now. Hafele is standard but its only for swing door, if all doors are swing out, no need Blum. For my case, top cabinet is swing, but bottom is drawers, so need to quote additional for Blum. will chk with ID. got the standard pfr with 10%, rounding off to nearest hundred on the total price. one cutlery tray but did not get dishrack cos I think the drawers will do the job.
  14. i'm not sure though, maybe swing doors and drawers different? Blum was qouted as an standalone item, not a package. Lxxx? r u referring to Hafele? now to think of it, maybe Hafele soft closing hinge is standard but Blum is additional? But both also soft closing right? now i;m confused.. what is S/S backing?
  15. i didnt ask for disc but the ID straight away give a 10% off and 2 Blum hinges FOC. he says 10% is for all customers. is it worth it? can PM me how much disc you guys got n yr ID name? the ID didnt even take my number. think he bo chap. overall i think they've really got what I want. yes, imported ones are too ex. 3m cabinet for $20k from Germany when I called Kitchen Cxxxxx. I almost fainted.
  16. i did not bargain with my ID from the begining. scared they cut corners or engaged inexperienced workers to do the job. but along the way I ask them to do small little things here and there - FOC. i would consider that as a discount.
  17. what is the avr price for installation + textured wallpaper? any guideline?
  18. dear forumers any used Classic Furniture or KitchenHabits before? Both only design and construct kitchen. Hope to hear some comments on them. Thank you all.
