latitude replied to andrew77's topic in Living, Dining & Storage

Hi there, Just wish to know if anyone used Mirror as backing for kitchen? my ID says he only did it for showflats. He never did it before for owners. He says it might tarnish over a period. Anyone installed mirror for yr kitchen, any experience?

Carpet Flooring
latitude replied to GSS's topic in Renovation Contractors, Interior Designers & Suppliers Reviews
can try goodrich. they have standard size off the shelves but if they ask them to cut into certain size, they can. actually if yr living rm is big, can try to join two pieces of carpet instead of using one big carpet. easy to flip over and clean also. thicker and soft carpets, cannot see visible join lines. -
i think the unspoken rule in the industry is: whoever creates the hole will patch it up

oic. didnt know u are getting the 2 bowl sink. btw, what coating underneath the sink? what's that coating? i think now i'm having 2nd thoughts on square sink. same size abt 3x more expensive.
-
oh wow I was abt to ask how much is the pro sink. just nice u posted. $498 is ex, only slightly cheaper than Teka. I have seen 2 similar ones at ard $250 at Hoe Kee, u can consider going there to take a look. the "unscrew from the top" kind of dispenser - "Franke" brand has it., $36. The sales told me that Franke is the first to come out with this design. Then other brands follow suit. Anyone else knows any cheaper options? anyone went to Teka before? how much % do they offer usually? thx.
-
its quite a IN thing now to make holes for dispenser. dun think it will pose any hazard. many forumers did it.

De Palmco Pte Ltd

i think the discussion is gone out of context. placing excessive personal opinions will mislead other forumers to perceive the company as truly a fly by nite company which is not fair. -
western food makes me think of Botak Jones ... around tanjong pagar, try Golden Cafe along Craig Rd (it's actually a kopi-tiam) just opp the point-block. lunch hour each dish is only $6. very nice! i like the Thai sauce fried fish and claypot toufoo.

centrally located reno/design firms also can have attitude - bad one. I encountered one who gave me that "low budget, dun come to me" look. one told me" u cannot spoil my designs with these curtains". can't take it! -
Selling Condo And Buying New Hdb Flat
latitude replied to ifUrY's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
take bank loan, also have to pay higher interest rates. HDB loan only 2.6%. bank rates floats all the time mostly above 3.5% i think?? have to consider and decide what is the best in the long run for u n yr family. buy dearer flats from open market or wait to buy HDB direct and enjoy subsidised rates. -

Selling Condo And Buying New Hdb Flat
latitude replied to ifUrY's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
u can buy from HDB subsidised flat 30months after u sold the condo, which is 2.5yrs. u can also hold on to yr condo & buy a HDB flat from open market using bank loan. the catch is that u must stay in the HDB flat and pay 10% property tax for yr condo To purchase 2nd property using CPF, u must have a minimum sum in yr Ordinary + Special Account. The minimum sum is $47,300 and will be increased throughout the years. there is a table on the CPF website showing the increase. I think the next increase is a few years later.
