Teka Hob And Hood And Other Appliances
latitude replied to darrenelle's topic in Electronics & Electricals
i have used Teka Hob and Hood for 6months, no complaints so far. -
Hi experts, 1 My wealth sector happens to be right beside the tv console. however there isnt much space left and if even if I try to squeeeeze in a water feature, it will be too close to the curtains. I dun want a table top water feature to be place next to TV. is there any options for wealth sector other than water feature? 2 I like to have a water feature in the dining area instead. something like this.. . I'm considering a smaller version of the above, with some plants floating around and fishes. Is there a do's & don't in FS regarding the design of the water feature? 3 What is the worst thing that could happen if water feature is placed in the wrong area? Thank you all!

me also from west coast! my mum also at west coast. yr layout is exactly the same as my mum's. her kitchen is a little dark too. u probably can knock down the walls, maybe open concept? another neighbour's house is like that, he knock down kitchen wall, convert balcony to study.

Chew Interior Design
latitude replied to cueball's topic in Renovation Contractors, Interior Designers & Suppliers Reviews
my friend's sister's house was done up by Chew Int. I went to take a look, design so so, nothing fantastic even though they spent a lot of money.. anyway my personal experience with their staff in Jurong was not a good one. he doesnt know what I'm talking abt, can't even design. anyway, all the "Sales Designers" all look very uncle. -
i think it also depends on whether yr unit is near to the track or the station. middle of the mrt track - u just hear the train passing by. same sound over and over. station - u hear annoucements, maintenance works noise, train moving off noise (louder screeching sound i feel...). if u are moving from a quiet place to a noisy place, u might want to think twice. in future if u need to sell, u might take longer time too.

hi, thks for the replies. the unit which I intend to lease is a condo unit. i fully furnished/reno it 6months ago as i thought I will stay for a long time. however now I'm planning to move to another rented unit. another qtn, do we have to include misc items on the inventory list? ie. vacuum, brooms, mop, pails + cutlery, kitchen ware and stuff & plants?? wow, it looks like a lot of counting to do...

Urgent Help Needed: Duck Mold Killer!
latitude replied to SammieGirl's topic in Home Maintenance & Repairs
Im a user of the Duck brand as well. strangely after finishing one bottle last year dec, I couldnt find it anywhere else. Clementi Sheng Siong or NTUC also dun have. Mr Muscle is good but still not as good as Duck. -
as above. any recommendation? what is the price range like? they go by psf?? do they need to look at individual owners "Ba Zi"?? thks..

i bought some items from Evov late last year. Evov designs are mostly replicas from modern high end Italian furniture. while they have the exact look, quality wise, it is far far apart. comparing $20,000 Italy imported sofa to $2000 M'sia made sofa. if you just go for the look, it is quite worth it. Ben is quite good. he stationed at South Bridge Rd. just avoid the one at Upper East Coast. he doesnt give disc.

I bought Teka CG Lux 60 4G Ai Al from asia marketing IMM. they give disc but cannot recall how much liao cos that was Oct 07. you can call them up and ask for the price. i bought it cos it looks pretty, did not thought of practicality cos I seldom cook, plus the FS master told me to get hob with more than 2 burners, so this Teka one was it!

Living On 2nd Floor
latitude replied to russell's topic in Moving House: Packing, Storing, Moving To Your New House
space is a conductor of sound. so the higher you are, the nosier it is (esp true if u stay opposite MRT track, highway, busy junction). i stayed on 2nd flr with my mum for 30yrs, later when my sister got her place, it was 2nd flr too. last yr when I got my place on 10th flr, I didnt felt it was better nor worst than 2nd flr. still also have pests (less, but still have a bit once in a while) + irritating mosquitoes + traffic noise. i totally agree with either going to the highest floor, if not lowest. -
2ft hob? not difficult to find.. my teka hod is 2ft and 4 burners. it is only for moderate cooking cos like what yoongnf said, once u put a big pot/wok, at most u can only use one more burner. Model: CG Lux 60 4G Ai Al

Do You Suspect Your House To Be Haunted ?
latitude replied to aoi's topic in Men Women Kopitiam Corner!
in my old house, my bro can see them. but i can't see or feel anything. haunted or not, it depends on the individual. however when the 5yrs MOP was up, we sold the house anyway.. -
door closer since yr door is bi-fold, cannot install door closer unless u change to wooden door.
-
my toilet door is facing the bowl too. most houses have design like this. as long when u lie on the bed u do not see the toilet, that should be ok. after all, one does not spend that much time in the toilet. I installed door closer to keep the door closed at all times. even the bowl cover also closed.
