the original backing of my kitchen was stainless steel. there are stains left by previous owner and I find it diffcult to clean. so when i do a kitchen makeover, i change it to glass (intended to have black mirror but ID says no one did it). glass is definitely easy to clean. just a wet cloth will do. not sure abt glass crack under hot temp. at least, no one reported under RenoTalk! white is definitely not easy to maintain i guess... coffee, tea stains..blah blah blah. black granite - even got scratches, even easy to spot.. have you thought of changing low cabinet to all drawers? at least no need to bend down to look for things...

Solution For Tv Provision At Bay Window
latitude replied to twinstar633's topic in Living, Dining & Storage
looks quite high floor! what development is this? the bay window and the wardrobe is next to each other?? I suggest that u wall mount the LCD TV on the wall on the left and built settee on the bay window, if the layout allows. maybe u can post yr floorplan for better visual. -
1mil is quite reasonable if u bought it in apr/may. a friend's friend sold her 3bedder facing southhaven at $1.xm to ang moh, just ard 1 or 2 months ago. last yr i was looking at east /west line too! my mum at east coast but MIL at west coast. dunno which coast to go to. end up i chose Blue Horizon, just 10mins away fr MIL and many dog facilities

Lousy/ Irresponsible & Inexperienced Agent!
latitude replied to doggieR's topic in Rent/Sell Properties
i feel it is the duty of a professional agent to ensure that a unit clears all HDB rulings and it is marketable. the owner and agent should be liable for selling a unit before MOP! hope things goes well for u! -
congrats on yr new home. the high floor view is nice but once the gov release the land in front of it, it will be blocked anyway! lucky u didnt pay the premium for it!

Can Ask Agent To Get Com Fr Tenants For Rental?
latitude replied to lisa-nia's topic in Rent/Sell Properties
the ideal scenario is: u place an advert, a tenant respond to yr ad directly - both party save on comm. u must know how to prepare tenancy agreement & must make sure the tenant is legal hor.. -
hi patsy_sg, if u figured out what u intend to do for living & master-bedroom? for new condo it is already in move-in condition, u probably want to keep it simple as it's still under "1-yr warranty"? i think getting a freelance ID to do space planning and a carpenter/contractor is probably better than going to ID company who will most likely chop you. I also suggest staying home to jagar the work.

i paid $600 for 2 smallish bedrooms parquet flooring in Nov 07, sand and re-varnish. the price should be around there. can't recommend my contractor cos he closed shop already.. i still remembered that the pungent smell was so bad that it only went away after a week of open ventilation.

option fee is from $1, up to $1000max. last year when I sold my HDB, I only accepted $300 from buyer as option fee.

some curtain shops carries and installs wallpaper.. + this company http://www.goodrichglobal.com

i did not use wallpaper, but have gone to their store in Changi for browsing and enquires. different designs have different dimensions, u can bring down yr scaled floorplan for estimation. yes they do provide installation + warranty. http://www.goodrichglobal.com

i was a top load WM user for many years but I converted to front load 6 months ago when I moved into new place. one of the main reason to get a front load is (1) quietness and (2)water saving. and also because of spin speed in front load (1200RPM) is much faster than most of the top loaders(3). (i think top load highest RPM is only 800RPM at the moment??) when i select 1200RPM, clothes just need one day to air dry (4th reason I choose fron tload as I can save $ on a dryer

if have space constraint, try microwave oven. i bought a panasonic microwave oven with 11 functions instead of a built in oven & standalone microsave due to lack of space. i find that if I bought it separately and if I dun use frequently enuff, it will spoil easily. in the end, i got a panasonic all in one, which is space saving, bigger in capacity, and i know I will at least use the microwave function at least once a week.

mm.. sorry nver try them before though I ever call up to make queries. the person was knowledgeble enough but I didnt get to use any mirrors at all in the end i think another thread has quite a far bit of mirror discussions.. u may want to ask the forumers for comparison.. http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...c=13790&hl=
