latitude replied to tweetie76's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
not value for money in today's market. DBSS is still a untested market. first DBSS project The Premiere going to TOP soon. whether got resale value or not, have to wait for another 5 yrs then can tell. then again, by then all the nice wardrobe, aircon and kitchen applicance all old and used already. will the unit still worth that much??? -
personal experience on my sofa: the guys dismantle the arm rest, bring into the house, then fix back.

Can Motorised Bicycle Park At Unit?
latitude replied to kensanctuary's topic in Neighbourhood Networking
i suspect it is a LTA approved e-bike which uses battery, simply take out batt and charge 2hours... $800+ bike he park it outside not even leashed to the window grill...wow.. -
I currently have a 28 months old "normal" car (drive anytime of the day). After I moved into my new place I Nov 07, I have stopped driving to work cos there is a SBS Premiere bus service which brings me right in front of my office in 20mins. Recently I was wondering if its worthwhile to have the "normal" car, since I only use it on weekday nights and weekends. I was thinking of downgrading to Off Peak Car, partly to lower monthly installments and lower road tax too. what are my options? Must I sell the car, and buy a OPC car? There are not much savings in converting the car to OPC. Anyone to share similar experience? Thks!

yes! that is the model which i was quoted $1500 w/installation. sounds like u've got a better deal. I'm still thinking... as I still prefer to change the entire lockset rather than half digital with key lock..I feel it looks odd.. yes they did mention that since I'm not changing the door, I need to measure current lockset to see if the new one fit in well.. else there might be holes and additional drilling........

hi I've been contemplating for a few months liao, still thinking whether to replace current lockset to digital ones. in a recent reno show at sg expo, i saw a booth selling samsung lockset with handle (replaces entire lock system). it was $1500, not sure if it's the same one u mentioned..

What Type Of Stacked Shelves You Use For Your Store Room?
latitude replied to andrew77's topic in Living, Dining & Storage
at home I use Yee-Sin. in office, I use Sim Win Liang. prices are more or less the same. Sim Win Liang's rack is boltless so U can tear it down and reconfig easily. material looks thin BUT it can ta-han very heavy things. on the whole, services and products of both companies are good and recommended. -
sure have.. cos I have it. nov07. together with slimhood, nice and neat.

How Much Is A 90cm Tempered Glass Backing For Kitchen?
latitude replied to hihihi's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
yes the glass will be printed with words or logo to "prove" that it is tempered. I ever ask the glass maker not to print the words on my backing actually but they say NO. die die must print the words. my dining table, windows all printed with the words at a corner. -
from floor to cooker hod, around 35" - 37" (depending on yr height), between cooker hod to hood, 65cm - 70cm. (for effective suction)

sometimes workers just purposely wnat to piss you off. my experience with curtain maker: two guys came to my place to take measurements. i told them the wall has just been painted so beware of wet paint (wall is actually dry but I told them wet so that wouldnt touch it BUT... ) after they left I found writing of numbers in pencil next to the window! very faint & they thought I can't see... What the! I called the curtain shop and scold right away and told him I dun want to see these two guys at my place when they deliver and install the rods.

ya I think it depends on yr height. I'm 1.8m and my table top height is 37" from ground, I told ID t o raise 2". quite comfortable for me at 37". but if u are shorter, it will be tiring (yr arms)
