Jus hoping it's the same person being caught. Neighbours, try to take note if new recycle bags has been distributed to your household the day your shoes goes missing too.

Hello neighbours, Want to bring your alert to Shoes thief/thieves in our vicinity. I have had 2 pairs of shoes stolen from outside my door within a month. Anyone has same experience? Just tis week, a fren of mine staying in delta ave said a guy was caught red-handed by a neighbour. This guy was going around the block distributing recycle bags and at the same time, stealing shoes n putting in his recycle bag!!!!! Talk abt recycling. Now i wonder if the shoes thief in our area are the same person. So neighbours, beware. Dun leave yr favourite or expensive shoes outside.

For those getting Castle lock, hear my story. I did call the person installing the lock n price was abt $40 more then getting the lock from People's park. When I queried why so X, they said installation not as simple as i think. They will need to drill a screw onto my gate. So to save cost, I decided to do my own installation. But guess what? We almost had to get a locksmith to come open it up. Just 3 days after installing the lock, my mom was locked in. The lock refuse to bulge when the key was turned. After much trying, finally opened. So she got out thinking should be ok now. But jus to be sure, she lock it n open just to try again. And! The lock refused to bulge again. Jus imagine when she called me n said the lock cant open n she cant get in to the house. Luckily my bro whom is working nearby came to help her. After trying for a good 5 mins, the lock finally unlocked! Immediately that day, i dismantle the lock and went back to get it change. The uncle could only tell me maybe cos it's a good lock, it's rather sensitive to movement. (So maybe that's why the installer said need to drill screw onto the gate - to stable the lock). So once there's movement on the alignment, the lock will not release its "catch". In the end, I took his suggestion to change to another brand rather then take the risk of changing the same lock n getting locked in. Is it my luck? Cos i have seen many units using Castle lock... that's y i decided to buy that.

hi happy, sorry i didn't make it to see your house on sat. Totally forgotten abt it. No la. My new place is ceramic tiles.... no budget to do granite. I was the early few to collect keys for Blk 27B. From yr pic u took from blk 29, u must be nearer to the AH OR coffee shop side near to the centre lift? I am at the extreme end nearer to the bak kut teh side. Was staying on 3rd storey.

Currently, I m still able to receive clear signal fr RTM TV2 & TV3. I believe this means starhub has not turn on my unit rite? (If not wrong, RTM TV3 is under cable channel only). Xlan, do i hv to call starhub to come turn on? Or i jus hv to wait till it's my unit's turn?

lucky thing is they hv yet to remove away the wooden planks in the lift. N the stain is only on the planks. Can't imagine if it's on the lift floor..... the stain will be permanently there. Argh...

hi xlan, u had same problems before? Reception? Mine's the sound issue on specific channel Only. U apply for starhub cable? I hv no intention to get cable, so will the ppl come turn on? Hi KM & happy There is an existing doorbell point now. If u want yr doorbell to be powered by electricity, then u need to get yr electrician to install the doorbell for u. If jus want battery operated, then can jus buy one n get yr contractor to fix it up for u.

Hi happy, We have the same color tone for the living room! Bisque..but my white tone is sneaker white. My painter didn't plaster my walls... now i can see the uneven walls.

Would like to check with those whom have shifted in. Do you all have any problem with the TV reception? Did anyone experience this? During rainy days, I have intermitten sound for Channel 8 (and weird thing is it's only Channel 8) in my bedroom 2's TV. (and only in bedroom 2). I tried turning on my other TV's in the other room and i dun hv such issues. The TV is new. so can't be TV's fault. I have oso tried to assign another button and re-tune the tv but result's the same. This only occur during rain. Should i go look for HDB to settle this? If not any idea who? Please advise

Hello fellow neighbours of Jalan Membina. It's been a long time since i login. Couldn't catch up with some many updates here. Hi Vince, u saw the poo too rite!!! R u fr 27B? Cos i had a "Poo" experience in the lift of Blk 27B. Having to tolerate the stink all the way up. Immediately after getting out fr the lift, i call the maintenance people n complain!!! Luckily their responses were quite prompt so far. The poo were cleared within 10 mins. Pity the workers clearing it.

I guess Blk 27A is the first block facing bukit merah.

Dear fellow neighbours, RED ALERT!! In today Straits Times, there is this news that one unit in BLK 27A has been broken in on Friday nite. "A 40-year-old sales assistant found the front gate and door of her bukit merah flat forced open when she returned home on friday night. Jewellery and a watch worth a total of $4,300 were reported missing from her home at Blk 27A Jalan Membina." So please be more careful.

I guess U must be from Blk 25A. Many units have shifted in there. U mentioned abt the curtains or blinds railing. Can i check if u hv a problem fixing up the curtains at all bedrooms? Due to the protuding edge n the L-shape window, i will hv problem fixing leh. I think someone has asked this before... but forgive me for asking again. How to post pictures in here huh? :-p

Yap. My house is already in Shift-in mode. Now sourcing for furniture n stuffs. For those under En-bloc and has shifted in, can share if you hv surrender yr old flat to HDB? Actually thinking of getting an extension on the surrender date. Blk 27B has less then 5 units shifted in and so many renovation works are still going on. I dun feel safe shifting in yet. Any feedback?

Hi all, Jus a info to share with your all JMs. Dunno if you all have heard tis. My contractor has inform me that building materials by some contractors has been STOLEN over last weekend!! On Sunday, my contractor has got me to get another lock for my unit. He has seen "unidentify" characters loitering around my unit. So immediately tat day, I got myself another lock. And on Monday, heard from my contractors that the materials left below some block were gone. Police has been notified too. So for those whom has almost completed your renovation or in the midst of renovation, take extra care! This stealing issue has already happened in the Tanglin Halt estate. Now it's our area. BEWARE!

Abt the cement screeding from HDB, i actually applied on the same day i collected my keys. And within 2 weeks, the screeding was done. I guess cos now more n more people has collected their keys n more defects work n stuff to do so now take longer for them to screed floor. Been going round looking for my bedframe... Courts, Novena, Nova, IMM, Brighton, etc.... n current status, STILL LOOKING. sigh.... Been to Sungei Kadut area too... there were 3 huge furnishing centre there. Think is Novena, Star Furiture red apple. Did not managed to step into red apple as didn't know there were furniture manufacturer then. Subsequently saw Red at IMM. n noted that they can custom made the bedframe with storage drawers n i can selected colour of the wood too. But oso very $$$. Wanting to go to their Sungei Kadut branch cos saw banner stating up to 70% sales. But now that there are bad feedback abt Red, wondering if i should travel to Sungei Kadut again. I dun recommend Green too. Find their stuff quite X. U cant walk around the place freely. Some1 will tail u around n recommend this recommend that. N when they know u aint buying, u can see attitude issue. I oso looking for tempered glass computer table. any recommendations? Saw 1 i like in Vhive, cheap but dimmension too big. Saw another 1 in Nova but price is double compared to the 1 at Vhive. Anyone know where i can get 1?
