  1. I'm looking for a plastic cable-pass-through with sliding cover to be installed on my table top (I'll have to drill a hole on my table of course!) so wires from my electrical appliances (on top of table) could access the power point (below the table) via this hole access. I think this is something commonly used in system furniture and office for PC / telephone hookups as part of cable management. Anyone know where i could buy one? Appreciate your advice! thanks!
  2. The fabric on sale at Ikea is quite cheap, ranging from $8-15 /m. There's also a separate sewing service available (check with the stuff for details).
  3. I think the sizes should be standard - if you're having doubts, you could just call up kingcoil or any of them and ask for measurement and do likewise for Hecom. Also, when buying storage bedframe, point to note is, to watch out for the hydraulic. There should ideally be a warranty for the hydraulic system but usually not for the bedframe structure.

  5. Mondi is actually part of the star furniture group, as with Zen Tradition. http://www.starfurn.com/links.htm Just part of the strategic branding exericse to target the slightly upmarket. The same case with Castilla, which is by the Novena group.
  6. As part of my reno i'm seeking to replace the steel grills at the foot of the balcony parapet using aluminium material of the same original design. My contractor has submitted the proposal and i was told by the technical officer i need a QP (qualified person) to endore this piece of work... has anyone encountered this before and do you know what are the charges involved in engaging a QP for such matters? appreciate your advice!

What more can i say that's not already been said - its very tastefully done and brings out the spaciousness in your unit. In fact, my floorplan looks exactly like yours, i could just change the area / unit number on your floorplan and pass it off... Anyway, what about your MBR toilet and the storage area next to the entrance. I find the MBR a tad too small for proper planning, how did you get round it? Pics to show? Cool stuff!
  8. Anyone using canon ixus 860IS? appreciate your feedback and comments on usage...

  10. If you're not too fussy, get a entry level AVR (a new model without HD you can budget around $400+/-) Assuming you're on HD TV and HD DVD player, hook up your dvd player to the tv directly for HD picture while connect your dvd player to the AVR for sound. HDMI cable to TV and maybe coaxial/optical to AVR.
  11. Call electrolux support and they'll guide you on how to use... i used to have a electrolux washer and it took ages to complete a wash, i subsequently found out that's typical for continental washers....
  12. anyone suggested / experienced using dual layer window to block out noise from traffic? may be costly to install though...
  13. I saw a L-shape sofa from The Furniture Club at furniture mall at beach road.. going for ~ $1700... its a 2 or 3 seater with a lounge (the L shape part) that can open up using a hydraulic for storage. There's also option of getting the Ottoman (~$600) that could double up as sofa extension + storage... There's also a leather storage Ottoman at Lorenzo at furniture mall.
  14. actually i'm not looking for the mattress, i already have one - i'm using a simmons... i know normally the mattress comes with warranty on the pocket spring but what i'm asking about is the divan base... From asking around, there is a few options available... (1) divan with hydraulic for storage use (2) empty headboard that's hollow inside (3) wooden solid board I'm now considering between (1) and (3) coz i do have quite a bit of barang-barangs... i also want something solid that will not give way (coz i'm using a 11 inch mattress) any other comments / suggestions much appreciated! thanks!
  15. Just a thought, if the water pressure is weak, then using a rain shower will feel like a drizzle and not a downpour?
  16. The mirror house... wide range there.. why don't you customise since you have a picture of what you want?
