does anyone here know where to get mahjong table in this neighbourhood. had a hard time looking for furniture shops in our vicinity.. !! think someone shd open up a furniture shop near the market. so difficult to get some small furnishing.

Neighbour: Are u doing renovation? Me: Nope.. i'm drillng the wall Neighbour: Can you please stop it?! My baby cannot slp so can u please stop it. I don't wanna make things too difficult. and by the way, it's a saturday afternoon. (the baby don't look sleepy at all.. in fact he actually smile at me. kinda cute) Me: Orh ok... So in this situation... It's not wrong to do drilling on saturday afternoon isn't it? but in any case, i just stopped doing it.

308 is facing south according to fengshui. becoz the main door faces south. wat i'm saying is that the windows' direction. therefore ur husband is implying that it faces south but it's in fengshui point of view.

dono if my hse can see fireworks. mine is 308 unit. meaning it's facing north. but i can see the roof of tangs from right side of my living room. just that dono if i could see fireworks on new yr eve.

maybe you can try gettin a bigger storage heater. normally if instant heater then the water pressure wont be so strong and of coz not warm enough. btw, did u turn ur water supply valve to the maximum for inside the hse and service door outside

i've got a question. how many of you had engaged the service of flyers pasted on the lift advertising on storage rack for household shelter. i'm thinking of engaging their service becoz my HSS is currently getting more n more messy. 1. Is their service good? 2. Any hidden cost? 3. Which measurement did you choose?

i think it's too expensive. mine was only 80bucks. in fact it's really quite easy to do. just use a drill and go drilling holes along the wall for concealed wiring then hack it with a chisel can liao. but precise method is using the tile slicer to cut lines along the wall to make very nice straight line and chisel. (but FYI, conceal wiring is not approved according to HDB. but i also have lah) i think it's best to delay all delivery of appliances until it's time for them to be installed by contractor. becoz ur contractor might be very careful but those workers won't hack care at all. during my reno, those workers threw cigarette but into my toilet bowl and don't flush. they even left dirty handprints on my shower head as well.

anyone has problems hanging clock on that metal cover(ventilation cover) of the bomb shelter? my winnie the pooh clock fell twice... cracked the butt of the clock. now trying 2.5kg load hooks. hope it doesn't fall. another thing is that, the distance of my door and wall is so far to the point that i could find a door magnet long enough to fit. so no choice need to use a wenge all the time.

recently i've gotten my tv console from them. they're supposedly to deliver on a time slot of 11am-3pm. guess wat time they appear? they appear at 6PM!! ard 3pm i've called up the salesman of beach road furniture mall and asked why is my tv console not here yet. then the salesman said he'll check and call mi back ard half an hour later, the salesman called back, saying they'll arrive in one hour( that means ard 4.3pm) then i waited and waited..... 4.30... 4.45.... 5pm... phone rang... this time the deliveryman called.. saying they will arrive in 20min.... 5.15... 5.30.... wah.. their 20min is singapore time or wat...... then 6pm!@##$%^&&*&!! finally someone knocked on my door and finally they appear. they just said sorry... cropped up at some others places etc.... so i guess i WILL NEVER NEVER EVER STEP INTO NOVENA and buy their stuffs unless it's really dirt cheap or the design is really nice. so SOLARBIRD.... think twice before u buy from them. unless u have time to play with them else don buy from them. just do a search in this renotalk.. tons and tons of comment on them. just compare the positive and negative reviews bout them. they have instances of delivering wrong item and came late etc....

daikin? heard from gaincity's aircon man that daikin has only one compressor. if it were to fail then all the room's aircon will fail too. most of other brands has two compressors. one 9000BTU compressor for MBR and one 12000BTU compressor shared by two bedrooms. so if one fails. the other can still work. but of course, if either of the compressor fails. the entire system needs to be changed of course. i guess the aircon man just don wanna dismantle ur window to put the compressor unit out, therefore suggested u daikin. i'm using panasonic... my aircon man dismantled my window to put the compressor unit out. haha....

in singapore, most ppl would prefer practical stuffs. me too.. i would have become too lazy to mount and remove my soap and shampoo bottle all the time. so the best is still use those conventional type. or perhaps try to find those with vibrant color or etc.

how are you going to make the grout deeper? use a grinder? or use chisel? i think this is really not easy to do. becoz chances of chipping off ur existing tiles is quite high. perhaps this is why most contractor do not want to do this job. imagine if they need to rectify ur cracked tiles... it's gonna cost a bomb. another factor is whether are we allowed to cut the grout deeper becoz of the waterproofing membrane below the tiles. any experts here have any idea?
