A lot of fourm members got themselves into troubles when not careful in handling the situation and finance. The worst thing is u pay them upfront to start work without sketches(hand or 3D), final contract and house keys.

For every contractor's recommendation, a commission or credit has to be given to them. Just like any field or market you are working in or paying for. It is a way to reward the person helping to get the company a customer..... u go figure out. In addition, u can ask your friend quote your contractor name an get a quote and you yourself get the same curtain quote and compare....

Hi all, Could experienced 'renotalkers' comment on your hinges and hardware that come with your carpentry works in term of quality, ease of use and pricing. Example some use Blum and some prefer Excel or Hafele. Because contractor or ID can quote you at low price because they might be using a china (No brand) made drawer track/rails or slow closing hinges. However, when you ask them to replace all with certain brand, they will mark up another few hundreds to thousands depending on brand and quantities. Cheers,
