  1. hi, quite a bit of work done. The painting are almost completed but touch up to commence in few weeks time. i self paint the whole house myself. managed to save up quite a bit of the cost and i use that to spend on the paint material instead. total spend on paint including all the brushes $540. bought the paint from my house down stair and they offer to deliver up to my unit. i will post some pic. I didnt take much because from my phone the pic doesnt look so nice. Paint - 80% Carpentry - next week will start work. about 20days for them to start installation. Electric - 50% done as electrician allowed me to do up my paint before installing my switches so that i wont stain the switch or do i need to stick all the masking tape around. and due to my taobao 2nd batch not arriving so soon, he will drop by whenever i request to fix up those item that arrived in the 1st batch. i would recommend his service and attitude especially the 2 worker who did up all the work. very friendly and knowledgeable worker! i shall update again maybe in late june. DIY the wall paper from Taobao. need to order another roll for the low wall on the left. As requested. lay partial of the flooring as the flooring need to be up before my carpentry work can be install. the flooring company let me arrange such as the rest of the room will do up when i complete almost my 95% of the work. unlike most of the tiling floor are done first. In love with this DIY....the hole in the pink area are my lighting point. Happily adjusting to my mood. able to control via smartphone or controller. work exactly the same as phillips hue light but the cheaper version.
  2. hi nice setup you have on your hue lighting. ive gotten many RGB light bulb too but from taobao. yet to fixed but hope it does turn out well. and I have also customize a pole system which cost me abt 5xx USD including shipping for 12ft long.
  3. Hi, u can get it along the hardware shop in kalantan lane. Is the first shop when u enter from the carpark gantry. Easily can see all the ven cover in the shop
  4. updated: 2nd batch of taobao spree with all the big and bulky item. and alot of small kitchen and toilet ware. i will update those pic once i install them on. Currently self paint the whole house myself. total Nippon paint cost $570. Highlight of this self paint will be my momento paint which i decided to self paint as it will incurred a very high cost if i were to engage a painter for this kind of paint work. hopefully it will turn out well under my own hand. electric work are done, aircon piping are done too. carpentry measurement are done too. waiting for work to be done. in the next few week will be busy with paint work, wall paper, laying partial of the floor. hopefully i could start to upload pic of my house soon.
  5. I also didn't know abt the sales till the last day. else I would have gotten it on the first day at least 1xx cheaper.
  6. you can actually just scoop abit into a plastic bag and keep it somewhere. abt 2 small plastic bag should be more than enough. and don take the wrong material. it white in color. not cement ok.
  7. Hi, I use the left over stopping compound by my contractor to fill up the wall. (it a big pack like your cement screed pack. if you don have, go to hardware shop to buy ready made. just tell them you need to plaster the wall) please note only 1 side can seal up and another side must have ventilation. seal up is pretty easy. after tat use sand paper to sand smooth, apply sealer and paint the wall. another side you have to go Kalantan lane hardware shop to get the ventilation cover($3x). after tat unscrew the existing metal cover. fill up some stopping compound and mount the ventilation cover onto the stopping compound and fill up the remaining gap.
  8. All request pm. if I miss out any please do pm me. thanks.
  9. I have to say im lucky to have gotten this electrician and his worker. work till late and came down on sunday to finish up certain work till 8pm. This Indian worker actually told his boss not to charge me extra for certain conceal work as the final result will turn out nicer if to do conceal because i wanted to save some cost but he did it out of goodwill for me. The bill was reasonable and the quote include changing all my switches. now my whole house is conceal. I must say it a tough job for them as i do not have any false ceiling.
  10. My taobao item finally arrived. 1.82cbm used. paid abt 200 for shipping. only 1 item was damaged. Clock. but manage to repair it myself. Didnt manage to take all the pic. too dusty. City Gas came to install gas heater and fix up all the piping. fast and efficient and willing to help to drill the wall for a nicer layout of piping Went to Bosch warehouse sales too. nothing much but managed to get this 100pcs drill tool kit at $79 Went to Mayer sales and manage to grab the Built in Oven and Chimney. Usual price $899 for each but managed to get it at 459 & 399 Fan from JB which is cheaper than Tampoi. Recommended by my friend's malaysia contractor for the local.

  19. Hi, Yes I did thought of changing the switch. I thought of going to the row of hardware shop in Kalantan lane but after seeing ur link I might consider getting from tb instead. this is the switch I wanted to get but I'm afraid it couldn't last due to touch screen. https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a220o.1000855.w4004-11274512501.18.5nVWfi&id=521367777485
  20. Hi, delay on my photo update cos no access to my lappy. ive gotten the suspended vanity too. gonna get my carpenter to do the installation. due to our toilet size I could only get the 68-78cm wide vanity set. but most of the vanity set in tb are together with the mirror and basin. I have requested to the seller for the vanity cabinet and the cabinet top to customize to my round bowl basin. which required 15days. so the vanity set will be in my 2nd phases shipment or else I will source ard Singapore for a cheaper one...i also ordered another mirror which is about 1.3m wide from the same seller.... the rest of my tb item are otw...which should be arriving in mid Apr.
