  1. Hi all, I just got a system 3 + 2 for my (almost) 20 year-old condominium with size area of 1700sft (Bedrooms- 14sqm, 14sqm, 17sqm, living room-55sqm). Comparing the quotations across the brands and companies, my hubby and I decided to purchase Mitshibishi Heavy Duty Air-con from Best Tech Aircon Eng for the very fact that the service was really remarkable. Unlike the other companies which we visited and had bad experience with (our previous purchase was just 5 years ago), the salesman from Best Tech took great lengths to explain to us the different options, brands and gave us lots of tips on maintenance. Coupled with the service, we were also very satisfied with the price. We bought it on a Friday evening (16 Dec) and requested for installation on Monday (19 Dec), which the company quickly responded to. The workmanship was very thorough and we didn't have to intervene much. If you are looking out to purchase an air-con set, I would recommend for you to visit Best Tech (IMM, Bradhu) who will be able to give professional advice.
  2. Hi all, Let me share my experience using York aircon as well. We bought the system 4 inverter some time in Mid 2012 and started experiencing issues with it since then. Two of the remote controls started to go bonkers after a few months of using it. Then the sound from switching off /on and changing of settings of one of the units, went haywire. It was not a nice firm beep but a crack beeps. Then sometime in late 2013 which is about 1.5 years after we installed, we noticed that the aircon wasnt cold. This was despite our low usage as we had wanted to conserve electricity (our utility bill was less than $70 per month). Got one aircon man (a third party not related to Creation) to inspect and he informed us the gas tank was empty. He stated that the installer (Creation) had used inferior piping products (aluminium instead of copper) which potentially could have caused the leakage of the gas but was unable to check where the leakages were because they were concealed under my false ceiling. The aircon man refused to do anything because he did not want to be liabile for anything that goes wrong. So we called Creation and their reply wasnt satisfactory. They said that we should not accuse them of anything as they have met the minimum requirements to use aluminium pippings and we have signed on the invoice for it. They merely sent one aircon guy to come down and top up the gas tank for us (we had to pay for it still) and just brushed us off by saying that there is no leakage. Now, my aircon is starting to feel hot again. Sigh, I highly suspect that there are leakages but am unwilling to tear down my false ceiling because of the poor workmanship and inferior pipping used. As for the usage of aircon, I must say that the coolness is very very inconsistent. Sometimes hot sometimes cold. I so regret purchasing York aircon after using it. My experience using Mitshibishi was so so so so much better. My Mitshibishi did not give me any problem despite using for more than10 years. So my piece of advice: go for Mitshibishi. It is worth paying the extra bit.
  3. Hi all, For those who are contemplating to get a Delicooker, my piece of advice: please go for the traditional gas stove instead. it will save you lots of hassle and money too. If you want to get an electric stove, I suggest buying reputable brands from your normal best denki/courts/Harvey norman. This product isnt as fantastic as what the salesman claim. I bought my delicooker HL400 set in mid 2012 at $1288 and encountered several problems since. In the initial year, we were only using it once a week because we hardly cook. After using it for a few months, we noticed that we were not able to clean off the stain marks on it, even with strong chemicals. We recalled that the salesman assuring us that the ceramic glass is sturdy enough and does not get marks easily. So we called in and the reply given to us is to a certain type of cleanser to get rid of the stain. In early 2014 which is about 1.5 years after we installed the delicooker, we experienced lots of difficulty with the touch function of the delicooker. Despite our low usage, it seemed that it loses its sensitivity over time. Switching on and off was and still is a challenge! Reply given to us was to change the touch pad which cost $200. We found it to be ridiculous and decided to just bear with it in the interim. Now which is July 2015 about three years, we are unable to switch on the cooker at all. Reply given by the service staff was that I’ve been using it for three years already and we should expect wear and tear. It is part and parcel of any electrical appliance. They mentioned that it is likely the “PC box” (not too sure what it is) which has spoilt and the replacement cost is expected to be $280. Well, this is one of the purchases which I regret the most. With $1288, I could have easily bought 2-3 sets of gas stove. SIGH!
