I felt the same when my MBR bathroom wall tiles were up... not as nice as i saw in the showroom. But after installing some warm white lightings, the whole ambience became much much nicer.

Ya now not stress le! Gonna focus on moving in and make it a cozy home instead of a perfect-house The backsplash is in light-greyish color. Actually I wanted something glittery to contrast with our dark wood laminates, but apparently there's only a particular company who do it & heard it's more expensive. Hope this will turns out nice too!

End of Week 10 (#throwback) It's been a hectic weekend with wedding & furniture shopping & checking of house! Last Saturday, my ID-little-sister finally got time to drop by my place to check for defects. Her eyes really can see a lot of things we cannot see =X Not sure is that a good or bad thing... because I felt very stress after she pointed out all the rectifications that needs to be done ><" But I believe she wants to make sure our dollars are well spend. I think our ID felt the stress when we bombarded him (over whatsapp) with all the rectifications that needs to be done. Anyway, I shall not go into details. Mostly carpentry trimmings issue & painting job that needed to be touched-up / clean-up. Yesterday night met ID at our place and glad that 1/2 of the rectifications were done. Today, his carpenter & painter will come and finish the rest. Also met him to confirm the color for our kitchen tempered glass backsplash. Oh ya also haven't update last week, our iQuartz top is up! Forget to take the latest photos when we were there yesterday. Our place are 90% complete, left 10% consisting of touch-up + backsplash + hood to be installed + replacing a small piece of our tinted bronze mirror. This weekend will be cleaning, cleaning, cleaning of new place + packing up all our remaining stuff in current room! We are moving-in IN 5 DAYS!

Majority are touch-ups here and there... It seems like our painter is always not doing a good job Carpentry need some touch-up on trimmings. We also just found out last Saturday that a part of our bronze-tinted mirror is chipped-off...think workers knocked it because last time never see it.

Site Visit - 10.12.2015 Met ID yesterday to go through all the left over items. Electricians were also there to install some remaining power-points & lightings. Seems like still have many little things here & there to rectify. Anyway our oven is up! Hood to be installed by carpenter today, and hob to be installed after kitchen top is up. Pardon all the finger prints. They are gonna clean the entire house today. Bathroom vanities are finally being installed by plumbers. Common bathroom vanity & towel ring HoeKee is having 50% off Grohe bathroom accessories now! So we last min throw in the towel ring — something we contemplated whether to buy or not for many months haha. "Cove" lightings up! MBR bathroom vanity "Cove" lightings up too! So glad we decided to add in these T5 lights in bathroom. Initially we thought it won't make much of a difference...probably just brighter. But the whole ambience inside were totally changed with these lights. Feels so cozy & more luxurious

Yup we overlay our MBR bathroom wall only. Common bathroom untouched. We opt-out everything, so no door from HDB. We got our doors through our ID... not sure which company. Hello! Looking forward to see your reno updates! I chose Mitsubishi Starmex for my new place. Reason: My parents' place installed Starmex 6-7 years ago and it's still working today. Very cold too! My dad also monitored the electricity consumption before & after changing to Mitsubishi Starmex (i cannot what brand were they using before that), and he said the savings are significant. Theirs is a System 3 and all 3 units are on every single night I got mine from Gain City. The aircon guys who did our installation are very experienced and good.

Marble Ledge Our ID installed marble ledges in both our bathrooms for us! That day when the pieces of marble ledges arrived, I tried to carry it. Oh wow, it's soooo heavy I barely can hold 1 piece properly. Real thick solid marble! In MBR bathroom They are the same size. Photo angle made it look different lol. In Common bathroom

Sink & Hood These 2 delayed items were finally delivered to us yesterday! Really thank HoeKee staff for following up & chasing these items for me. They arranged for Air freight to send these 2 items over instead of their normal sea freight, bearing the extra cost themselves. Good service This is our Blanco Zerox 700u very properly wrapped & packed With this arrival, iQuartz people finally can take measurements of our kitchen counter top. Hope they can fabricate it fast. The hood is sealed in the box hence didn't take a picture.
