Hi Ms White and Strawberry Hmm.. Yep collected the keys yest then went to buy all the rice, tea leaves and salt blah blah for the "opening ceremony". Spent ard 5 hours in the house with various parties such as contractor etc. Havent really decided on ID. I'm quite ok with eesy but hubby dun like him... Wonder why... Wah, yesterday was very windy. Feels like mini tornado inside the house. All the flyers "illegally" inserted thru the gap beneath the door were flying around in circles after we open the door... Hehehee... After some "wind treatment", really feel like sleeping liao. The view was quite satisfatory lah... The ferris wheel seems to be in the middle of my view from the kitchen. Then somemore we saw 2 white birds (mebbe seagulls/ doves) flying past... Wah, does this mean a good omen? =P Only thing we didn't like was the water pressure. Wah, at max after turning on, the water flow was just a trickle. Is this going to be the case forever? Then it'll take me hours just to wash my hands.... Forgot to take pics of the house. Will go up to take pics when meeting strawberry and others today. Seeya Guys later! (^_^)

Dear 79ers I've got insider news that our MP Dr Ng Eng Heng intend to hold a massive BBQ/ gathering in Sept next year to welcome us into his estate! I think the TPY Central RC is also looking at recruitment for Grassroots leaders. Tt's why they also wanna hold a get together/ makan session with you guys asap on a Tuesday to recruit new blood. Anyone's got any ideas what you guys wanna do? The chairperson suggested karaoke at the RC Centre but I don't think u guys will be interested in that as the songs are all old old songs.... Anyone interested and have any ideas, please share here. P.S. Gadgetman, Alister, Strawberry.... You guys are interested in joining the RC if I'm not wrong? Ms _White Wat time are you collecting your keys? Mine's on 24 Oct at 8.10am. I will be going up immediately after the collection and frm my survey from Fengshui masters, when we open the door the first time, we don't need to do anything. It is only the first day that you start reno that you need to buy things such as pineapples to put. Apparently choosing the date that you start reno is also very important. (If you are pantang lah) Anyway, congrats to all getting their keys! Yaay! Our next outing can visit more flats liao. (^_^)

Dear neighbours: I've got a qn leh I realised tt for some of the bathrooms, the concealed pipes are right above the shower heads. So does this mean tt I cannot fix a rainshower for my bathroom if this happens? Arrggghh! I want my rain shower!!

Dear 79-ers: Yipeeee!!!! I just got a call from a HDB officer to inform me that I will be collecting my keys at 8am on 24 October! Finally! Yayy! P.S. I think it was so soon coz I just wrote a feedback form to HDB on their efficiency of service. Heheheh...

Dear All 79ers Remember ard 2 weeks ago I told u guys abt the cracks and water dripping on the 11th floor? I went up on Saturday and its still there! Here are the pics: this picture shows a crack on the wall This shows cracks and water dripping (with water marks) fron the ceiling in front of unit 11-43 This is the ceiling in front of unit 11-37 This is the water puddle with BLACK footprints outside the door of 11-37 This is the image of the entrance of 11-37 with the puddle of water and BLACK footprints in front of it. Oh boy... Is HDB/ Town Council gonna do anything abt it? I wonder if the owners know about this problem Can they report it in their defect list?

Hi Strawberry_Pear: Not yet leh. Kept calling HDB up until they angry liao. But seems like my HDB loan only got approved on Friday. Still a long while to go, I guess... Hi, not too sure if this post is kinda late, I just joined this forum in Sep. My mum's hse was done up by Mr Tan ard 8 yrs ago. I think he's workmanship @ tt time isn't too good. By the 2nd year, the varnish on the wooden cupboards were already peeling.... And the aircon was installed at the wrong angle, causing it to leak very often (this is what the various aircon servicemen have told me) I sure hope after 8 yrs their work is much better...

Please show more pics, esp of the completed reno if possible... Coz I'm also lookg ard for an ID.. Want to get some ideas... Thanks!

Yep, I agree with the discounts and all.. there are definitely risks for anybody who wants to use their house as a showflat have to take...So it's really a decision we have to make for ourselves Btw, out of curiousity, it sounds like there are many showflats out there. If so many of our houses are being used as a show flats, how many IDs and how many showflats are involved?
