I dun think they did extra waterproofing since inherent structure not destroyed. Only in the toilet they did the waterproofing. Ask the owner to repair! So long as you have not collected the keys...

Hi Alprakas, nice idea of whirlbath!! Totally luxurious Ya hacking of tiles are so ex. I went for overlaying with vinyls in the end for my resale too.

Day 62: Mish mash.. Another look of my kitchen cooking area - minus the glass backsplash My wash basin. Toilet is too small so have to be outside.. Retro rocking chair! Dunno where to put yet.. lol Sofa is here! Bedframe and mattress are in! Also doing touchups.. will I make it for CNY??

Hi Berried, combi door is an interesting concept. I did not get them though as the mechanism seemed to be only one piece (of door) as opposed to double security when you have the door n gate. Then again what differs from a combi door to a gateless door will be this layer of gate when you open the door to strangers. Just my two cents of warped logic. Anyways, i was thinking to get the gate from the same company too but they can only install after cny.. lol

The wall that was taken down - was it meant to be subway tiles with bevelled edges? The contractor is supposed to check mah.. so what is the new concept? Just concrete screed?

Your contractor so good to start reno for you! At this time, a lot are not willing to start new projects due to the coming of cny...but the sealing of wrong door is ahem... maybe your contractor forgot to brief properly lah. Luckily they quickly rectify the mistake, so not much harm done. I certainly would recommend going down to double check, especially during complicated works, or get your contractor to whatapps you the pics before and after the works. Less possibility of errors then. I prefer to do it right at the first time, rather than going back to rectify. Can't wait for more updates!! Your 3Ds look great, esp the toilet!!

Thanks Owl! While I absolutely love monsty, sha has been the cause of many stressed moments and deviations from my original plans. Thank goodness the entire look is still acceptable for now! 😜 Sorry to hear about the not-so-good day, get them to rectify, take a deep breath and continue. The rest of the reno will be shun shun for you!!
