oh ya ur bedroom set is the same as mine hahaha. except the bedside table i asked them to do 2 drawers instead of leaving a big hole. so i hv 3 drawers instead. and i changed the mirror to one with an arch. is tt a bookshelf with heart shaped holes next to ur dresser on the floor in the pic? cant see clearly but i hv one like tat from them too. ya i don hv much kitchen space left n prob is my kitchen walls are all made of tiles.. n they hv hidden pipes in there too.. so hor i cannot anyhow drill. problematic one la. if not i wld want to put more deco ard hehe. if i'm u, i also will ask for some open shelves cos its impt for country kitchen.

i bought at a big tiles shop at defu lane . cant rem the name of the shop. its recommended by my ID. but hor the variety of coutnry tiles are not a lot too. if want a series like mine, they don hv much to choose frm unless u wan mixture of designs. i tink i hear ppl say jurong area got a big tiles shop too but not sure where. maybe u can try to find out n go there to recee. mine is abt $25 per pc i tink. veri ex. ya u better move it away from the sink cos sure wet de. then ur heart wil break hehe. i juz bought quite a few items from daiso! quite nice for country decor! but hor also not much place to display in the kitchen liao haha. same as u lor.. how hi.. issit? i pm-ed u b4 ar? no wonder ur nick sounds familiar to me ahaha. can u give me the name n address of the shop at balestier? n some of the other shops which sell the porcelain kind of lamps which u hv? i wanna go look for my standing lamp. i'm still doing up my reno/hse blog which takes some time as i'm pretty bz after the wedding keke. once its done will share

Those signages are not difficult to find. Can go to Cottage Crafts, Forest Wood or other shops selling country-style stuff. They have rectified the problem for me already, not the best solution around but at least it looks better than before. I will take photos and maybe post them up next week. My last bet now is to decorate it with tiles and some signages. Besides the places that BunBun has suggested above, you can also try Spotlight...I've seen stencils being sold there. If you are game for some creativity, buy stencil plastic and design your own. Time consuming but at least, you get what u really want. I have lots of stencil designs at home which I use for my quilting. Think can probably use for the wall too. I can take pics of what I have and PM u if u r interested. i love the stuffs at cottage crafts but too ex for me to get leh.. trying to find cheaper alternatives elsewhere. sure.. show me ur stencil designs! i can get some idea from them tks ar

i juz went to see their site. they revamped it. veri nice now! ya the signages are nice but duno where to get them. must go see see ard soon. i tink u shd ask ur ID to redo the canopy to ur expectations. u hv shown them the design etc, if they cant do it, shd hv told u in the 1st place, not do liao then now say cannot do it as per ur drawing. so now u hv to accept even if u don like it, i do understand the feeling cos my expectations veri high too. warsurfer's canopy looks similar to urs n his is veri nice, maybe u can try to deco it if u really accept wad ur ID has given u.

hey warsurfer! ur hse's veri nice! so so cozy n nice to live in. where did u get ur standing lamp and how much? i'm searching for standing lamps but all veri modern looking and not cheap either. ur custom made sign is so unique.. where did u make them? we hv the same chair pads, ikea toilet flowery cabinet and table cloth haha. seems like in sg, country stuffs are so limited that most of us wld hv a few same items. that ikea cabinet my 2 other country friends also have how to do stencils ar? can teach me? stencils will be gd as they wont fade (with lacquer) n easy to clean. for wreaths i only hv an xmas one hahaha. meant for living room

hi there.. tks for the compliments ya this design cannot use for storage, juz for looks lor. i tink the canopy is veri important for a country look thus die die must have this, nothing less hehe. i'm using teka canopy hood. u hv any pics of ur hse to share? er i tink i rem wrongly. its 6k+. my kitchen's veri small so i tink 6k+ is ex but for country look, no choice lor. its not super country as i like but for practical purposes, hv to do it this way. my quote initially was quite ex but i cut away a lot of stuffs to cut cost. when got time i take pics show u. $5 to $10 per pc is reasonable. mine is abt 25 per pc.

This is my canopy with the tiles. the colour of the cabinet is too dark due to lighting so cant catch the trimmings. free then take more pics of the hse to show u. planning to add some deco on the white portion but no idea yet. will do some research then see wad to put. u hv any pics of canopies like that?

haha they shd noe not everything in white is plaster la. Cottage painted it white so that it will stand out frm my cherry cabinets. we didn noe wad other colour better to choose so juz stick to their idea. next time sick of it then see wad else can change to keke. my cabinets are solid wood. the kitchen costs 4k+. ovens nowaday all look modern de leh haha. ya maybe when not in use u can use a quilt to cover it but once in a while u hv to wash it so got extra things to wash lor. i don hv a lot of shelves for my decor items hahaha. but i love to buy them. hv u ordered from the shabby boutique already?wad did u buy from there? the tile in the post below is nice. veri country like. will dress up ur canopy n kitchen. where u gg to get this tile?

no la urs where got look like ****. diff design lor cos not all carpenters can do country style well. mine is not plaster as per ur other post, its made of wood. if its plaster, definately cannot be used for kitchen cos kitchens will be oily, hv to clean. plaster cannot come in contact with water ma. mine also low budget production haha. if hv $, i wld wan to do a lot more! i'm sure with ur deco pcs from overseas, ur hse will be veri cozy. mine doesn hv much deco items. slowly collect.
