That would mean checking every single tile? Well, thats a good idea i reckon. I was thinking of asking the contractor to check and then recommand but i'm worried that there might be a conflict on interest (since why would they want to help you save money?) Would anyone have any recommendations for places to shop for fixtures such as lighting, taps, sinks etc? We're really new at this so we would appreciate any help that comes our way. Thank you.

Thanks for the input so far. Unfortunately, what we need to do is still up in the air as we are not sure as to how we can ascertain if we need to re-do the ceramic flooring. Its an 11 y/o flat and on the surface, after a cursory inspection, it does look ok but how can we verify if it will last us another 10 - 15 years? This is one of the most vexing issue so far. '

Dear All, My partner and myself are in the midst of sourcing out renovators after getting our resale flat and we are wondering what would be a realistic estimate for reno + fixtures + furnishings? Kindly advice. Thank you.
