Not really thinking of new fad upgrades. Just wondering if there's any push factor for anyone to take a plunge into 3D. Needed to get some opinions from those who went straight in it without any future thoughts of its product shelf life. Im pretty happy with my set up. Dunno what else to upgrade. Maybe Focal speakers will be my next pet project. Blurays are not so expensive if you buy online. Cheers

Cars BD is awesome!!! Toy Story 1,2 & 3 has probably the best pix quality if viewed in 1080p. Still waiting for Finding Nemo to be available in BD. Heard Lion King is coming soon. Cheers

Nice set up. But have u audition them yet? Why Yamaha? OK You know the limitation of 608. The 708 is a different class altogether. What sub you intend you pair with your KEF? Cheers.

Ask KEC how would you calibrate your sub with the 608. I know the Velo has a calibration device but one shld allow receivers to synch & harmonize speakers & the sub. cheers

You have a OPPO93. Im impressed. You have good taste. Subs should pack a punch yet small enough to tuck in anywhere unnoticed. Cant say the same for the Ultra. Btw, 608 dont have Multi EQ calibration. Just thought you should know. Cheers

The only decent B&W sub, IMHO, is the PV1. I'm using non-B&W subs for my B&W speakers. Cheers

Go have a look at the SPL & Microvee. Their size & acoustic character may appeal to you. PC12 a bit too big in size, dont u think so? Cheers

May i boldly suggest you ditch the CHQ8T & audition instead the SPL-800i or the Microvee? Cant remember the pricing but the sub impact will surely make you take notice. What reference movie did you use for your audition? Cheers

SVS is probably the better performer sub to sub but pricing is a real long shot. Some may say Hsu or Rthymik are better subs to go, but where can you get them in Spore plus after sales service? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On another note - B&W may be overpriced for some but is probably value for money for some discerning folks. cheers

My mailbox is full & i apologise if i didnt respond as Im away in a country with very limited internet access. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Speakers - personal decisions though I would edge towards B&W. I shant comment more lest someone in this forum will accuse me of paying overprice & ya-ya over being a B&W owner. Bluray player - OPPO is expensive but its the only universal player (Model 83 only) that has a big wow factor. The oppo93 is going for $890 (you have to check with SLT Tech or Patrick at Audio Iconic for availability) Mind you its not region free mod. Its a brilliant player, enuff said. Check out the reviews on leading AV commentaries & magazines. The OPPO95 - $1,699 is pricey though its a haven sent for serious audiophilers. So strike that away for newcomers to this wonderful world of AV. Cheers

For the goodsake of this forum, kindly no personal attacks please. If you dont like my choices of recommendations, recommend something else. No need to get personal by saying Im BIAS towards certain brands. Did I slight you in any way? The wager is about if u can find proof that I tried to shoved B&W800 down anyone throats.
