    Day 8 - Meeting with ID Just got back from almost 4 hours meeting with my ID, today we are finalising the colour of material, choice of laminates, counter top and also all the cabinet layout. I been thinking this will be a fast and painless meeting. Until I was asked to look at different shades of grey (lucky not 50 shades hahahah, I know is a very lame joke) try to find the one that match the counter top or the cabinets laminates. Discuss which side the door should swing, which type of blum I should use on each and every drawers. All I can say this 4 hours I can really see how much effort that my ID have put into this planning, they also push back my idea (I told them to challenge me if needed to) and justify to me why it won't work base on the colour tone or material of the design. This is the main colour that I am going for Grey, White and Brown. So now everything is almost done, so next will be lots of shopping and paying for the item I shortlisted for the past few months.

    Agree with Ahyong81, for bathroom is better for you to tile up the whole wall as the humidity is high and we shower each day. This is the best way to protect our investment and also with tiles is so much easy to clean.

    Day 3 - 7 Went up to the unit early this afternoon the check on the progress, So here is some of the updates. Wall are all gone, new wall are starting to built, I always have the idea the wetworks will only start tomorrow. Kinda surprise when I walk in the unit and saw some wall is up.     Good to know that, I do have to say I like the look and feel of the design. And when sit on it I like it as well. So most likely will get that and the price is more easy for the pocket as well. Btw how much you pay for it? Can share? I went to their showroom at UE Square. Unit number is #01-33

    Shopping - Toilet I has been always like the TOTO toilet, so really looking forward for this shopping trip today to choses my WC. But end up I can't find anything that I like in TOTO but did check on their toilet accessories, do like 2 of their series. But really have to think of the budget. (maybe go TB see is there anything that is cheaper) After visit a few shops and try sitting on it, I have to say my body like the Baron W-888, as much as my friends have very bad experience with their customer service and the quality. So at this moment I shortlisted this and mean time will continue to go to see see look look and hope will find other that I like. I also bought the storage heater today. I go for the BeeBest 50L Storage Heater, because I was told that it is single welded joint.

    The grey tiles really stand out, good that you go check very frequently so can rectify the problem fast. So your MBR bath you are using built in WC?

    Haha, she did draw the kitchen for me, as my other area nothing much, as I try to have minimum built-in item so is like lots of empty space.

    For me I seeing this house is a place I will be staying for a min. 10 years but again with my age I don't see the point of moving as well. So when I plan for the reno, I will try to make it as cosy and I can a place I really call home that I wanted to stay in and look forward each day, after stay in a rented a room and rented unit for years, I want to make sure I can call this place HOME.

Will for sure take a look at IXISS, need to watch up my budget also. Too many wants but I should focus on what I need. So this Friday just go see see the TOTO. Ya lor, finally start and is Day 3 today. 3D is ready and I have seen it. but I didn't get a copy of it.

    Thanks bro, I drag and drag till now only start. Ur house progress looking good. Ya lor, that don't come cheap but need to do it to make sure the layout become what I like. A price to pay, so now need to always eat Roti liao!!

    Day 1 & 2 Finally the reno starts, and lots of wall have to go. Was informed by my ID, they go door to door and give out letters and inform my neighbours the reno will start this week. Just hope everything go smooth. (Finger cross so hard now) Work in progress (Day 1) : ]] ] Work in progress (Day 2) : Look so big now! Too bad the house is not a open concept. \ Will try to over and take a look at the progress. This Friday, going to Toto to check out their toilet and basin, hope i will find something that I like.
