    Thanks for sharing your shopping list, the KitchenAid kitchen tools looks good, maybe I should copy cat buy one set try try. For the Crock-Pot, I not too sure and never use before, I think you should go check what is the power voltage is using in this pot. Some of the deal will be out day to day I think, btw you have to wait till black friday happen in US most of the time. You will only be able to see the deal or visual.

    Kara, I feel you I feel you! Who know in the end I just go the one coffee table from ikea. Ya the last one is very nice, and it is the last pices when I went there. Size is a bit off, as I am looking for something that is abound 500mm but this is 600mm so I might end up not space or have very minimum space to walk.

    Luxexplorer, ya this is what I really worried as well. So the plan is maybe get the table and put a tray on it, so chances of contact the glass are lower! Hahaha! But it might drives me crazy. Still not final will see how. For the sofa, as much as I love (plus my butt and body) love it but I can't give convince mgself with a good reason to go for it, it cost min 8k for a 2.5m sofa. With all the $ I put in for this Reno, maybe the sofa will be a good upgrade for few years later.

    I think if you like leather you really should go for full leather. Because as you mention when PU having crack lines it is going to be so not nice liao.

    Day 48 - Furniture Shopping Day Time really flies, as much as I am tracking it but I can't believe that today is the 48th day since the renovation started. Today is a shopping day for me, my ID brings me around to shop for all the pieces that I need, 1st we went to Tan Boon Liat Building, (Since I very sua ku, I don't even know got such a place till today ), we total visited 6 shops there. Pomelo, Make room, shop house, Mountain Teak and Journey East. A simple review for all the 6 shops, Pomelo - Not a very big store and the furniture here are contemporary style,I do like some of the furniture and short listed a few item from this shop. Make Room - This store is more focusing on soft furnishing, got lots of cute and nice deco. shop house - a very big store, and with lots of choices, but I do find most of their furniture size are big, don't think it is suitable for my small HDB unit. But I do like one of coffee table there. Mountain Teak - as what the name stated the store is full of teak furniture, but again I can't find anything there for my liking. Journey East - Lots of industry inspired furniture, if you like or your house are going for the theme, I do think it is worth to check it out. After Tan Boon Liat Building we went down to Danish Design Co. at Pasir Pajang Rd. This is the best furniture store I been for the whole day, I really love the clean line design and most of the furniture I find it is very timeless, so means you can use it for a long time and still won't fell so dated. The biggest problem is the items are not so pocket friendly. But I really love their sofa, as a big size guys I normally not a big fan of low sofa and soft sofa, but one of the model it is just works. I can see myself sitting there for a whole day and nua. But again with that price tag I don't think I can afford it. But I did shortlist one of the coffee table. So this are the shortlisted item after spending more than 6 hours of walking

    I was told if you plan to buy furniture from Fortytwo and want to take a look and feel of the furniture you can go to Comfort Design, as their item are very similar but FortyTwo price are cheaper. Hope this helps

    Thank you very much, I think the credit go to my ID team not me. They really can see around corners and give me the advice I need. Now I falling in love with the dark kitchen as much as I still worry about the brightness of the area. Actually the wardrobe and dry vanity area are created by hacking down the original MBR, help of it the space is dedicate for creating the dinning area and the half of it is for this wardrobe and vanity area. So I end up I took over one of the common bedroom and this unit will end up having 2 bedroom instate of 1.

    Thanks Kara, when choosing the colour, I have lots of doubt. After I seeing it today I really happy with the result. Actually my kitchen not really big lah, I think. Because the current unit I am staying have a very square kitchen so I find this shape of kitchen is long but no wide. But again I take out some space to use it as my service yard. About my house ceiling, actually was told by 2 ID this unit ceiling is slightly lower than average in the living room, but the kitchen is higher. But what we did is we level the floor in the kitchen and also use false ceiling to give a more seamless look from living room to the kitchen. And because of the ceiling is low, that is why I have a good excuse not to install ceiling fan (and also I hate cleaning ceiling fan)

    Bro your place looking good and cool, I think after you live in and add on more deco the house will be more cosy. Jia you on your study and work. That is lots of philips product and I totally overlook and missed it, suppose wanted to get an air fryer, looks like I have to put this plan aside 1st till the next carnival.

    Day 44 - Carpentry work (update) Today manage to get out the office slightly early, so went over to take a look before going for my dinner. I think 80% all the carpentry works are done today. I just snap a few photo and rush for my dinner. The very grey side of my kitchen, and the hood are installed today as well. the other side of the kitchen My closet and dry vanity area. So far I am very happy with the result, so experience at this point of time is good, so just hope it will keep this way till the handover. ​Today I also put in order for another towel bar that I really really love from Amazon, and thanks to tips from hc28 and OceanEleven, I manage to get free shipping for the items. Since I got saving the cost of shipping so I go for the soap dispenser as well.

By reading your concept, I really can't wait to the all your idea materialise, I am sure it is going to be very beautiful. And with all what you going to do with the house, the price quoted by your contractor I think it is a very reasonable price. So do keep us update on your progress and all the best on your renovation.

    ok will try to do it, btw I feedback to their customer service and the allowed me to keep this and offer me another pieces at RMB50, since is only S$10 so I give them another chance to buy another one and see how it go. Will if the new one works fine that maybe I will carousell it cheap cheap see anyone want it or not lor.

    I need to do this just because I didn't change the main door, do to short of budget and the door is a fired rated door. My ID will need to get someone to paint the door for me, before I got the lock install, they had already sand it down and did a layer of base, so after the lock is done they will paint again. that is why I need to install it now. If I can I think I will do it your way as well. btw Congratulation on your new house Jobb.

    Hi Jobb thanks for dropping by, actually after installation I get the installer wrap it up and did not activate the lock. The can just come in to the house by push the handle for this model. Even if you set a password and you still can change or delate the set of password that you set if you wanted to activate the lock. Currently the house still on number lock
