    Yap, thanks. Actually there was a lot of drama and incidents, but really heng i got a good id aka contractor, i visit the house everyday and the moment i spot something wrong, i will tell him and he will rectify and solve the problem. Heng i got the correct person to do my renovation. Its really nice to hear from people saying wah your house it nice. His worker all say is very nice and modern.

    These few days busy with work, will post images once all is up. Will review all the furniture from the different place i brought them.

    The blue are the original philip hue ledstrip. Altough i cut it, dont want to waste the 2m led so i use it as the covelight for my feature wall. The ceiling covelight i using the rgb 5050 led, i add a rgb amplifer for additional wattage and constant power.

    Will not be posting daily update cause renovation is nearly complete.. only left touch up minor here and there. Yes waiting for all furniture to be in. Once everything and move it. Will post reviews and photos.

    Finally.. Its nearly complete...... Cleaned the entire house, sweep and vacuum and mop the entire house. Wipe the entire carpentry and took my first rainshower bath at my house... The feeling is amazing..... Feeling excited to finally going to move into my house. My own cosy place.

    I apply the permit before 2nd appt aka completion date. With the indemnity form by HDB signed by the previous owner. You can submit the permit before it, however I only commence the renovation straight after completion date. Hope this info helps.

    My renovation took total 48 days (excluding public holidays, saturday and sunday. Finally my renovation is almost complete. And I took my first shower at the house today.. The rainshower and the light ambient is superb. Machiam like hotel feel. haha

    You guys all dont need to hold on the renovation. You can be exempted from the HIP if you pass the water test for the bathroom. Just need to sign the idemnity form. As for the large waste pipe. I did check with the HIP people and they told me since Aug 2015, if your house is already using those pvc waste pipe and if there is no crack or leakage, they will no longer change it. Previously in March 2015 for my uncle house, even though my uncle house already is the big pvc type waste pipe, the HIP contractor still cut a hole from top to bottom level (the slab) and removed the entire waste pvc pipe and put in a new pvc pipe. Hopes this helps

    Renovation Journal (Daily) - Day 51 KItchen backspash glass are installed. Vanity mirror and living room feature wall mirror are also installed. Its 95% completed my renovation. Now awaits minor touchup, washing and getting ready to move in Finally............

    Renovation Journal (Daily) - Day 50 The entire living room floor tile issue was resolved. No more watermark. Kudos to my id/contractor Mr L Also shifted the storage heater position so that the glass door can open fully. Also decided to add in a shower head mixer at the common toilet.

    For me, The purpose of doing a walk in wardrobe is to seperate the sleeping/resting place from the changing, getting clothes place. It will be very distrubing when someone is sleeping (husband or wife), and either husband or wife open the cupboard to take things.

    Nowdays its using led light, electricity consumption will be a lot lower. and its brighter

    Maybe you should just retain the existing color of those. But you can add in certain add on to your common bathroom. See how its goes first. I would second Peachy suggestion

    LOL. Of course it make sense I do cooking also, must control the fire (gas type) 33 years of Jiang Hu experience is not for nothing de hahaha oppps am I saying i am old......??? Btw are you refering to even when you turn to the minimal, the inner side flame still having fire ? As in the video below.

    Renovation Journal (Daily) - Day 49 The glass works guys are back to replace the kitchen glass (due to a long scratch) and also to install my walk-in-wardrobe glass door as well. My common room sliding room glass door also have a long scratch and they removed that door and will be replacing for me again for that door.. Below is the picture of the walk-in-wardrobe glass door. Nice

    Renovation Journal (Daily) - Day 48 Tiler came to replace the toilet tiles (previously the storage heater position). The storage heater will block the glass door from fully opened, thus need to shift the storage heater position and because there will be hole from the previous installation, My ID arrange his tiler to replace the tile for me The tiler also came to touch up on certain areas Painter also came to do touch up and I am really impress by how he help me to paint the outside of my house and the water piping.. before it was super horrible.. now its super clean and nice.. Wonder how he manage to mix the same colour paint as the corridor paint.. He also help my neighbor paint their water piping.. It was black and dirty , now its looks new and clean The new tiles are up again, no wall holes Now the glass door can open fully 90 degree.
