    Yes, this is the best ideal procedure, for my flooring its totally laying of new tiles means remove previously existing totally. Nothing in the house is overlay. However the tiles i choose is pure white that why its easily to be scratch with all those hard ladder or in case there is nail below the ladder, sure scratch the flooring, thus my ID tiler recommend to lay the tiles after ceiling works By right it should be done during the wet works .

    Renovation Journal (Daily) - Day 36 Kitchen carpentry is up with doors Tata.. My Kitchen Sink is in My ID ask his carpenter to add in this sliding for the gas LPG tank so that can put in and take out easily without pulling the LPG gas tank from the cabinet

    Mine is put on hold for the flooring area because to minimize scratches from ceiling works as told by my id. Since i am doing false ceiling for the entire house, therefore they paused the flooring works and resume after ceiling works are completed.

    That is only if you are overlaying with vinyl or other flooring type beside tiles. If you are hacking away the original tiles or flooring type, you need to screed before you can place the new homogenous tiles.Your house is a new bto, so if you have orginally opt in for hdb screeding, you can just lay your tiles.

    Renovation Journal (Daily) - Day 35 Kitchen carpentry is up partially. Entire skirting for living room done First coat of paint for master bedroom. Master Suite vanity carpentry partially up as well. Master Bathroom tile completed.

    They nornally stand up de. Westerner dont really siao tv de..they put tv for nice only.. only we asian siao tv and movie. Thats why their box office only asian better results lol

    Just for sharing, most people from the west, they placed their tv above the fireplace because most of the time, they will be entertaining their guest (standing up) and they are not like us asian in which we really like watching drama and tv. At that height, it will be uncomfortable if you sitting at the sofa watching tv for a long time

    For bathroom, its best to tile full height for easy cleaning and maintenance. Plastering over tiles and repaint wont last long if everyday you bath and moisture will cause the plastering to wear and tear.

    No need to go thru pe. Lol its just using a p-trap connector and buy a p-trap wc. Those id that told you that. Please drop them, i wont give them my renovation project. They are so noob, actually sadly to say most id in Singapore are actually tarnishing the name of interior designer and contractor. To be in id in Singapore, anyone can just do it cause you dont need to have any certificate or prior knowledge to be hired by the id/contractor company. We are not even talking about structural changes to the house design or layout, why would you need pe endorsement. Lol. If i see that Id, i sure say him or her.... chinese got this saying: In hokkien but i translate in english (direct, ignore broken english) If you can swim means you can swim, dont say the swimming trunk oversized.

    You only bring those you shortlisted or confirm to view the house, normally if you give them your floorplan to them, they can calculate the cost of it already. The 7 id i went, they are all able to quote based on the floorplan, the only thing to take note is that the actual measurement of those works need to do site survey.If the house is a resale unit, the actual floor area should normally be lesser and thus uses less material or smaller dimension because if previous owner got do renovation before, example plastering of wall, the distance between the walls should be lesser then the actual floorplan.

    just for the pipe and waterproofing that area or waterproofing the whole kitchen area? If just the pipe area? The id quote 5k and above? I wanted to change all the waste pipe for my house initially but my id say the toilets pvc pipe are in good condition. If i want to change the whole house big pipe, he quote me 900. But since only the kitchen pvc pipe seems horrible. I only change that. The cost is 400.

    Water proofing for ceiling? They do not hack the ceiling, they cut the pipe and use a socket to secure it. Waterproofing is suppose to be done at the floor area. My id did the floor waterproofing after changing the pipe for the floor area so that it does not affect my neighbour below. The above floor should have a good waterproofing done for the kitchen and toilet during their renovation.The two toilet window at 580.

    I brought one built in oven and one buildin oven/microwave, kinda regret should buy two same oven. Most useful actually cause i do a lot cooking and baking too.
