Thank you for the compliments. Much credit to our ID for an eye for colors. Will remain to see how much of a hassle it would be cleaning up. But the option to box it up later on is always there -

A Few Little Updates After making our partial move yesterday, spend sometime taking pics of our sort of completed look of the living area we modified after the stairs are done up. Living Room Complete Look View from Our Dining Area Completed Walk in Wardrobe Home Office Roofing Decided to go with the raw tile look for now and went with painting the tiles white and the wood beams grey to match the panel we have to separate the wet play area from the home office. Thanks all for now. Next for completion of the Vinyl flooring for our dining and kitchen area, the granite top for the kitchen and our TB lights and MBR shower accesories to arrive and installed. Fingers crossed we can have it all done by end of next week! -

Thank you for dropping by and your kind words:) Will PM you. -
Also congratulations on your new home and this is the old format of EM's where you have the luxury of a true balcony and big squarish spaces all around. To be honest if you intend to re-model a whole EM and want to do it well and if a lot of inbuilt hacking off is required and then if you intend to build in a whole kitchen with a wardrobe in each room you plus re-plumbing and re-wiring you would be looking at close to 100K or above depending on your desired feel and look. May I ask where is your purchased EM with this old layout and inset door entrance:)

Bathtub takes up space in the cramp bathroom designed by HDB and one has to decide if showering over the inset of the tub makes a lot of sense since the inside of the tub will be dirty with soap suds over time and if you do not fancy soaking in the hot tub daily then maybe can forgo this luxury for space in the tight area

Yes it's the hardest part where pockets get lighter and all you are is still damage done and nothing new in yet Push on and the light is at the end of the tunnel -

A Little Shopping Went to apply some finishing touches and we got moved by Scene Shang for the Shang System for our bedside tables. Going for the 3 drawers set and Mrs will have the legs and table top as thats what she likes and I'm left with the 3 drawers as my side of the tables. As they are having their 10% off all items we took advantage and lock down this addition to our new abode...another damage piercing down the hole that is building inside my pockets. Can't resist but also settled for this beauty of a desk lamp. Classic one for the road. Bankers Lamp anyone?? That's it. We are near the end of the road and my pockets for that matter now...Can't wait to officially move in as right now it is just piles of boxes and stacks of furnishings we have moved and no decent room is left empty. -

According to our ID this granite finish was suppose to be more expensive but the granite guy told her no need to top up cos their fault for lack of material -

Week 6 Updates Part 2 MBR This is perhaps the place with the biggest work after re-orientating the whole layout of the unit and having our MBR shifted downstairs. MDR New Door We went with a soft color barn door look with the diagonal barn door strip only on the outside. What we see here is the inside view of the door. Save some cost by not having the diagonal cut on both sides. Entrance to Study Area There was no space for a book rack or shelf in my home office so ID suggested to cut a part of the wardrobe space so she can make a book shelf for me! Of course I love it. Turns out it is much bigger a space than I've expected it to be. Love it... In the background is the vanity cabinet for the MBR bathroom which has been extended out into part of the original service balcony space where the floor has been raised for this purpose. Walk in Wardrobe This is the small wardrobe space we have left after the book shelf has been cut out of an already small wardrobe for us. MBR Shower Panel Our shower panel is finally up. we used a wire mesh frosted glass instead of a normal glass and the effect turned out much to our liking. A boo boo here for the ID as the panel powder coat color was not done correctly but we are ok with this so we told her not to worry about it. She seems pickier than we are about the quality of the job which makes shows us how serious she is with her work. Wet Area Divider Separated the balcony into 2 parts with this panel, we left the wet area in cement screed as seen. Anticipating the finish look to this whole area now. This marks the end of week 6 and looking forward to the finishing touches in week 7 and we can move into the 2nd story while ID completes the 1st level for us.
