  6. Hello, I'm the new one from blk 91 mentioned by zirhk3355. I enjoy reading your posts and advices. Sorry, nothing to share since we're the last group getting the keys. Plan to move in by March. Will invite you guys to see my place when the reno is about done. Look forward to meeting my new neighbors.
  7. Hi Home2Be, Many thanks for your advice. Will take these items out from the reno quote. One more question about Citygas gas heater installation. Does it come with valve? Or need to pay extra for it? Thank you.
  8. Hi, We collected the keys 2 weeks ago. In the processing of finalizing the reno items with ID, I've 2 questions needed your comments. 1. The ID charges $120 for installing water storage heater. Expensive? We intend to get a free gas water heater from Citygas. Will Citygas charge less for the installation? 2. Where to buy a nice and big top cabinet (will install above bathroom sink)? The ID quotes $900 for a 4-5 ft top cabinet with sliding mirror. Expensive? Thank you.
  9. Thanks for sharing what you've done. Mine is the same. The wires are concealed. No electrician would split the light point and conceal the wires for us. It's against HDB rules.
  10. I've been searching for Fanco's website, but no sucess. Does anyone know its url? Thanks. We want to have a ceiling fan for each room. For HDB, it only has one power point for lighting. We have to find a ceiling fane w lights. So far, Amasco's Empire is the best option we can find. It can use energy saving light bulbs and bright enough. The blades are 58''. It's nice for living, but too big for bedrooms. The Twister is nice for bedrooms, but with lights, it doesn't look good. Can anyone share your experience of how to handle the lighting issue whiling have a ceciling without lights? Thank you.
  11. Just want to drop a thank-you note to all of you sharing your experiences at Tanglin Halt. Enjoyed reading them. Sorry, I've not thing to contribute. Still waiting to collect the keys. By the time, we start renovation, all of you should have moved in already.
  12. Hi, I'm from Blk 91. Noticed on the same floor 4 flats are renovating and 1 moved in already, but I haven't heard anything from HDB. Wonder how they could get keys early. Anyone knows? Thank you.
  13. If you’ve asthmatic kids at home, many doctors would recommend Nilfisk. It’s much cheaper to get it directly from the dealer. But, if the dealer knows that you’ve been to their showroom at Paragon, they can't sell to you. http://www.nilfisk-advance.com.sg/homepage.htm
  14. I used fresh green pears as my wedding favours. A paper leaf attached with the pear. It said, "A Perfect Pair!" A friend gave tea bags as their wedding favours. In the attached card, it said, "Love is brewing." Another friend had custome-printed m&m's. You can order from http://www.mymms.com/celebrations/weddings.asp
