my air-con is daikin.. quoted at 2.6k.. window quite ex.. 1.5k.. is it higher than urs? the hsh is full length the whole wall.. think it is quite okay for the whole length.. but still it is 1.3k.. my FW says she is okay with the stupid HSH door.. dunno if it is really asethetic or stupid to have a door to cover another door.. wink designs shld be quite ex right?? for our design.. cant put tv opp.. if not the platform become a bit redundant.. cant sit there to view tv..

i think is relatively gd price ba.. perhaps i list down the big tix item and u make a gauge if it is okay.. 1. shoe cabinet with settee (6 ft) 2. feature wall for HSH (full length) 3. feature wall with tv console + glass shelving (8ft) 4. remove sliding door and construct platform with power detok laminate(similar to candyprincess one) 5. kitchen cabinet (btm L-shape 9+7 and top 7) c/w solid surface (brand gloria) and suspended ledge (5ft) 6. mbr wardrobe (8ft) 7. mbr vanity cabinet with half height mirror and shower screen 8. windows at balcony and service balcony 9. painting with sealant 10. ceiling (L-box or false ceiling) 11. daikin sys 4 aircon (not sure wat model) 12. change all piping to ss electrical not included yet.. think that is all ba.. is it worth it??

hmm ask him to wake u up lor.. i sure u are up to it.. haha my present quote is 22.5k with air-con no elect yet.. but quoted daikin.. not sure if it can b cooling enuf for my FW.. waiting for my ID to tell me the model. if not good then i will ask for other ppl to come down ba. now scratching my head.. dunno whether to spend 1.3k to build the feature wall for my HSH. that is a lot of money.. just for one stupid door. Do you think it is worth it?? Any other good suggestion to cover/camo that door?

me in 356B.. END of IDs hunt me finally finalised on my choice of ID- I Z Design & Renovation. To reflect on my journey of choice of IDs, I may not have need to go down to any reno fairs to search for IDs. But they definitely give me more numbers that i can compare all the items in my quotation between all the potential IDs. Easier to see if individual IDs are quoting more than what they are supposed to. Bear in mind, different ID company has different comparative advantage in doing their stuff, some cheaper in carpentary work, other in ceiling works. And the only way u will know wat they are asking for is to put on ur thick armour and ask. It is good for you to find out what they are using, what material, what grade, etc.. DO remember to ask for final discount.. Finally i chose the one that i have prior knowledge and experience with since she had helped reno my fren house.. and i think it is really nice. Perhaps can see more pic soon.. but after my FW give the green light to start reno.. cos chingming is ard the corner.. and she is the PANDAN one.. noballer signing off.. sleeping soon..

i think it depend on what is ur existing door frame.. for my present house.. my mom asked a contractor to come change the previous sliding door. the frame can be easily removed and dun need to make good of the area.. so i think my mom is only charged $180 for the bi-fold door.. not sure wat brand.. the normal type ba.. look good to me.. !!

i may not b doing the top cabinet for the cooker side.. so my ID suggest to do a elongated casing in replacement to cover up for any wiring ba..?? Dunno if it serves any purpose.. or jus for asethetics..

I was thinking of doing a L-shape kitchen.. but i don't need so much storage space.. hence most prob i will be doing away with one side of the top cabinet. do you think i need to box up the top portion linked to the cooker? refer to pic... A picture of a fellow forummer.
