it wasn't tht bad lah.. so far it was only minor things starts to give way, but still feels disappointed coz i used them less than a month only. They're also suppose to re-do some carpentry work (which i felt time wasted waiting for the workers to come and measure and later installation again). I spent almost 40K+. I've done EVERYTHING. It's a resale unit, therefore all tiles (wall & flr), existing carpentry, everything is tear down and done up new.. the list will be too long to show up here.. -

Hi, Juz wanna share my experience with Ideal House. Job started November and the handover was delayed for 2 weeks plus.. Overall experience is quite alright, i would say, economy price gets economy standard.. (of coz i'm not saying that high price promised good job lah.. at least the quality of parts used may be better ones). I chose them based on the critics in this website but realised tht they're alittle over-rated! Besides competitive price, the rest are (to me) not up to the standard i'm looking for. It's barely 1 month since i move in, some of the items are starting to show it's age (breaking down or needs replacement). I was promised using their 'BEST' carpenter but turn out that there're many 'problems' with them. The work quality is definitely not the 'BEST'. Maybe it's the pre-CNY rush, i'm not sure, but definitely disappointed with the carpentry work. There're stuff that they are coming back to replace/re-do after the CNY. Pardon for not listing down the 'problems' as it might be unfair to Ideal Hse, as this may be juz 1 off case.. I'm not saying Ideal Hse is no good, but they're just 'ok' to me.. Therefore juz wanna remind all the reno-firm-seeker that any firm u choose has the risk, unless you have close relatives/friends' recommendation, then it's a better assurance. Think as long as there's no major hicupps, that's blessing already, right.. As for K himself, he's nice and response to every call and amend every mistakes quickly. But he's too busy and have too many projects (pre-CNY) going on and sometime makes him confused.. Not really regret using them, his floor tilers are very good and K has given me some good design ideas, also used nice laminates for my TV feature wall.. and i have a beautiful toilet (all my visitors commended tht).. Lastly, best wishes for all starting their reno.. Pay more attention, visit site more often. It's hardwork but worth it.. -

LCD or Plasma TV
wensi replied to sakae sushi's topic in Sound and Vision -Home Theatre Systems & Audiophiles
So u didn't get the TV during Sitex? Sounds like a good deal.. After searching it for a while, came to realised tht it's a never ending process to compare prices. New models coming out so fast that we can't even keep up now.. Which means prices will drop fast too.. It juz depend if u hv time to "wait" for yr fav model to drop price. But when the price drop, it means newer, better, or improved model is replacing it, and you'll be then back to the cycle all over again.. Buying TV now is like err.. buying diamonds, once you bring bk home, it's 'price-less' .. I go for the newer model coz of the 'anti glare'.. i compared both, there's a great difference. -

I bought the Panasonic TH50PY700 for $5499 with extended warranty to 5yrs, draco HD box, $100 voucher... think not the best deals in town, but just tired of sourcing as we've been looking for a tv for the last whole months... -

hi, according to a website, http://www.thehighdefinitionstore.com/tv/t...istance-72.html, min & max viewing distance for 42'' tv is 5.3ft & 10.5ft (10.5ft is about 3.5m) My viewing distance is about 4m, I've just bought a 50'' plasma .. anything bigger is out of my budget.. hee hee.. -
Mine is NON INVERTER, so 2 ticks only (INVERTER then got 4 ticks).. In the mkt, most non-inv hv 2 or 3 ticks.. if i'm not wrong.. I'll PM you the contact info.. ;p

Hi, Hope any kind soul could suggest a solution for me.. Here's my situation and usage pattern: 3 bedrm + Living, 2 pax staying only MRM (bigger as I expand into Rm2) - 'ON' aircon every nite, at least 8 - 10 hrs RM2 (smaller by half, area taken by MRM) - empty room, no uage (occassion mum would drop by but rare!) RM3 (Study rm, smaller by half, area taken by Living - short period, 2 - 3 hrs, not daily LIVING (bigger, almost 35sqm) - 'ON" fm 8-12pm at least 5 nites a week. Weekends longer hours if friends drop by. Do take note that it'll be VERY RARE tht i'll turn on 2 fan coil at the same time.. Based on above, pls advise if I should go for Inverter or Non Inv? Cost is also a important factor. I was told by someone, tht the refrigent for Non Inv (R22) will stop supplying to market from 2015.. That's only 7 years away, does it means I'll hv to change the WHOLE aircon system by then??? Advise/suggestions pleasssssseee...

Ventilation Exhaust Fan Installation For Toilet ?
wensi replied to tientien's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
Hi Mace and Anyone who uses vent fan, Does the acryllic panel have privacy issue?? like when it does get wet (while showering), will it becomes 'see through'? For a normal HDB toliet, will you 'knock' on the fan when shower? Coz my window is on the shower side.. worried tht i might be knocking my head on everytime we uses the shower area.. I'm not very tall though, 1.7 and my hubby is 1.75m. -
yes, i'm replacing the hacked wall with glass. my unit no balcony one, just living and the window panels. reason why i hack off the walls coz it's very dark during the day. Replacing it with glass so that I still hv a room (use it as study room, so not need much privacy) and sunlight can come thru.. so where's yr new hse? punggol too???
