Popped by last night to place my present (to be installed). Realized paints are in! Saw that they are brand-new and its dulux. And yes, the color that we decide on. According to Rick, first coat of painting starts today till fri! Next week shall start on the lights... Meeting him together to discuss, since we have some changes to the wardrobe. Want to change the sliding doors from bottom hung to top hung. (Looks prettier but quieter?) But need to top up ah. Also, Rick got another lock for the house. So now my house has double-protection! Wahahaha ..

Popped by new house again. Well, its a daily ritual... All curtain pelmets are up, as well as the false ceilings. Initially plan to make own curtains, but realized Ikea sells quite reasonable price curtains so might go for the shortcut way. One thing to note for the false ceilings though, there's alot of arch and angles. which cant be helped as it comes with false ceiling designs, not to mention, our house originally has lots of BEAMS! Of course, can minimize it by lowering the false ceilings to that of the beams, but that will make the whole house looks low and dark. So now with the false ceilings, now the ceilings looks in depth (有层次感) .... Yesterday too dark to take photos. Shall take this evening.. if managed to reach before 7. Also, getting a surprise present for my hubby. Cant post here, in case he read it (though very very unlikely) Hope it can be installed by friday, which will be a great anniversary present for him!

Popped by Saturday to receive my fridge, saw that false ceiling is underway! finally i see workers working.. Previously only manage to see finished work. Manage to take photo of the false ceiling on sun. Partial as MBR curtain pelmet not done, plus passageway (dining area) not done yet too. And yes, they updated the area with a name! Got some stuffs from Ikea too. Its for the wardrobe in MBR. A hanger for pants, as well as wire baskets! Also, a fun gadget! My hub and I definitely have fun with it. Shall take a photo of it later.

C&S, For mine, hdb din tell me. I went up everyday to see! Kamal84, Ya, hacked room will affect valuation plus heard if buyers wan back the room, seller has to pay for it. But as may_dream mention, dun thinking by hacking one room will chg from 4room to 3room wor.

Hi C&S! I was in dilemma too, as i prefer aircon to be up when painting is done. But to have that means the installers have to come twice (incur extra $80). After them (gain city) and my ID re-emphasizing that when aircon is up, no one can see what colors i underneath, then i go ahead and just install all together. Just remember after installing, ask them to wrap for u, and keep the remote controller with u ba. Don't think HDB will inform us on the cement screeding? Mine was done on wed. Think abt 2weeks? Usually leadtime is between 3-4weeks ba. Perhaps your screeding is already done? hee..

Hmm.. for my case, the PE did go down to see if hackable, then endorse wor. And rightfully, the PE shld be there when hacking is done (will cost additional cost). My PE cost me $500 wor. but it seems to be standard price? And it seems most kitchen walls requires PE as there's beams in it. So PE has to ensure will not affect the overall structure of the walls.

Cement screeding by HDB done! Also, lighting points established for my L-box too!
