yah... those leaflets are really irritating. i closed the front flaps on my letterbox so that they have no way to put these leaflets into my letterbox. but ****... the stuff it at my door! so every night i get home, i see at least 2 such leaflets, printed, handwritten whatever trapped at my door. still thinking of a way to overcome this. even considered hanging a note on my door to ask these people to get lost. haha...

Pls Reccomend Ur Clothes Dryer Here
blueturtle replied to summerholiday's topic in Electronics & Electricals
i use an electrolux (6.5kg) with stacking kit above my washer too. cost ard $600 from harvey norman. like applefreak, i also dump almost everything into the dryer after washing. see my mood on that day. so far, all my clothes are ok too. i stay on a very low floor, seldom at home, no one at home, but i like the sun-dry smell so i chose the dryer. i definitely do not need to have my washed clothes out in the rain when i am at work, or some inconsiderate people who don't spin dry their clothes and water dripping onto mine, or some even more deadly things landing on my clean clothes. -
haha... i saw this pc of paper stuck at the lift lobby, apparently the houses in this area can sell for above $400K! oooo... anyway... the new Sembawang Shopping Centre... is gonna have a DAISO! yippppeeeeee... i love the $2 things that they sell... hahaha...

Are they going to build many small shops like what they do @ the other MRT stations?

i use a 5.5KG electrolux dryer wall hung upside down. no problems with the quilts, bedsheets and stuff in 1 load. tried to dry a lot of stuffed toys in all shapes and sizes also ok... the biggest is around 50cm tall... and all came out "alive", dry and clean... 2 towels and 2 pairs of jeans and some clothes go in at the same time also ok... but might need to rearrange halfway to ensure thorough drying.

3 In 1 Microwave Or Built-in Oven?
blueturtle replied to icegal's topic in Electronics & Electricals
this is the oven that i bought... cos don't have space to house both and oven and microwave. plus i wasn't sure if i will make use of the oven or microwave often cos most of the time eat out, nothing much to heat up. yet, i don't want to have to curse and swear when i really need to use and i never buy... so got this hybrid since it's cheap... below $500 i think... so that won't waste money too. http://www.sharp.com.sg/SharpProducts/prod....asp?prodID=162 it works as convection oven, grill, microwave. so far had managed to bake cake, muffins, cookies out of it... simple to use. the convection oven comes with preset temperatures. 230, 220, 200, 180, 160, etc (degrees Celsius). The same temperature for the preheat oven function. -

reno electrician by my ID. but they never do anything to the circuit board. it's in the condition hdb gave. the 24hr electrician listed in the emergency number list that hdb gave is the same electrician the firemen called for us. electrician came and tell us to find our own electrician to fix the prob... cos it's not his prob... *duh... what kind of crap is that???* circuit board burnt cases story... told to me by my id's electrician who kindly came down to fix the problem for us yes. we stay in sembawang.
-
well... we did nothing to the circuit board. in condition which hdb gave us. not sure if the electrician is from h*b or not... it was listed as the 24hrs electrician in some of the papers that h*b gave us when we got the house and coincidentally the same electrician which the fire department contacted. the electrician that came? he brought NOTHING with him. how can he resolve anything? duh... some kind of electrician... he came EMPTY HANDED! even the firemen came with toolkit lar! faintz... if there's anyone to doubt... i doubt the empty handed "electrician". or maybe he is angry that he had to work at 5am in the morning and he's not awake... duh.... oh... anyway... the phone number of the 24hr electrician listed in the paper that h*b gave... it's wrong! duh duh duh...

so quiet these days... think everyone bz MJ-ing? hehe... not sure if any of you faced this problem before... but my Circuit Breaker Box (the "mains" box in the kitchen) melted 2 weeks ago and almost scared me to death... initially there was some burnt smell... but after searching for a couple of hours we can't locate where the smell came from... after like another 3 hours, the smell was still there and the house blacked out... yes... it was 3am when it happened and we just finished our WII party... so we decided to trace and search again.. and finally we discovered that the plastic parts on the Circuit Breaker Box was melted (there was a dent!!!). and guess what... no internet, no numbers to call, no one around awake... we called the Fire department... the fire engine came... the law enforcers also came, did some i have no idea what... and we got back lights for most parts of the house (living room and kitchen area no lights cos the controller thing melted can't repair) and electricity... and needed to call an electrician down the next day. when the electrician came... he told us that the part of the box that melted cos it wasn't allowed to take large loads... DUH! and... TADAH... we are not the first in the block to have this happening! ****! what is HDB doing? we called HDB and they say it's not their fault! and they can't help, blah blah blah... DUH!

i've nv been to egypt before... but i would definitely recommend CT* over Cha*B**... i went on trips with both before... very upset with Cha*B**... a lot of hidden costs... like they will tell u can watch this perf that perf... but when go there... den we realised that it's not included in package... when we buy nv tell us... !$#!@#!@ and the food... hmm.. we compare with other groups in the same restaurant... always ours seems worse... CT* is best lar... that's why i keep going back to them... the counter staff are good... give good recommendations... most of the times... haha... the service during the trip also good... so far dun have cases of hidden costs also...

confirm good buy... especially when there's no one at home the entire day for my case... dun want to leave the laundry out to dry den in the middle of the day rain, or neighbours throw things... arggg... i will faintz... so much more convenient to have a dryer... can settle all laundry in like a few hours! ohhh... remember to leave ur windows open wide when u use dryer! haha... my HB forgot and ended up... my whole service balcony and kitchen was badly fogged/misted up... think will be bad for the kitchen wardrobe and stuff... too much moisture!
