hihi, im a new resident in bedok north rd too! whats yr blk no? mine is blk 182.... hey we shifted in liao.. we collected our keys on 7 august and reno and cleaning then officially shifted in on 1st oct.... usually when u book yr flat liao, it will take HDB 3-4 months to get back to u. u wan fast, email them! call them! i did that too! i sent them email riding on to the previous one and my subject, will be urgent urgnet, reminder 1 reminder 2 etc... same lor, no reply de.... so i fed up! i went to find out whus the MP of our area, and i emailed HDB with such a sentence ' if i do not hear a reply from you within two days, i shall forward this whole string of email to the MPs and let them assist me'! so when i sent this out, the very next day, i received an email and a call from them asking me to go down to collect keys!! yeah very happy also then! so i guess HDB needs to be pushed and 'thretened' of haha... u may wana try wor... gd luck! cus its super duper effective for us!! our ID was Jim Yeow... young chap with innovative and creative ideas! quite able to stick to what we wanted and stick to our budget.. overall, not bad, pretti gd...... need contact pls PM me lor, thankies!! what else u all would like to know?? btw, this an excellent forum v informative and the folks here all v helpful and kind souls de.... keke gd luck!

wah allow me to share my story also.. when we first took our keys, we wana like sae hi to our neighbours and like sae we r dd our reno and if there r any inconveniences caused to u, we r sorry abt it and we planned to buy some cakes to them after our reno completed also.. but then hor, ev time we went up to see the pogress of the reno, they will give us weird face.. their whole face will trun crumpled, like machiam see duno what like that u know... then nvm, they will quickly shut their door with a loud bang ley.. obviously is like dun welcome us, dun wana see us mah.. rite.. then got once, their kid out lookin at us.. then the mother quickly pulled the kid away and sae, dun see la.. quickly come inside! then bang the door again... such incidences happen many many times and will happen everytime we go up see the flat.. now tt we moved in liao, also same treatment.... when they walked past our flat, they dun and wun even bother look in.. a few times we stand at the door wana sae hi... they will act blur or act deaf la... so funni and rude hor.. evtm when we go hm from work, they hear our keys, or hear the door opening sound hor, they will bang their door again.. OMG!! haha, i was tiking duno one fine day their door will fall or spoil or break anot men haha freaking rude hor.. unfriendly lor.... then my hb got once also a tooth for a tooth haha.. when they come home, quickly go and bang our door also... haha.. its a gd one... but i told my hb dun do that cus wait the door spoil and plus they ignorant, we dun b like them mah.... so u tik we still wana gv them cakes and stuufs meh....

so the 'invite ghost' is it true or not?? eh then i must contribute also ley here haha... my mum sae cannot put those soft toys in the rooms. must wrap up and throw in store.. so when i was staying w my mum hor, i was not allowed to have soft toys de ley... she sae will invite ghosts.. then the spirit of the ghost will go into the soft toys de... then when u sleep at nite u not hugging the soft toy but u hugging the 'ghost'.. eeya so creepy rite.. thats my mum lor.. now staying w my hb liao, i just throw out all my soft toys lor... ev nite i also hug my soft toy mah keke then she also said gers hor cannot have so many pairs of shoes... is bad luck and will 'have small ppl'... xiao ren ah...so when staying w her, im not allowed to buy so many pairs of shoes lor. up to now, i oni have 5 pairs of shoes.. miserable hor? well, im gg to slowly buy and load my shoe cabinet month by month haha

i came across this at a shop in balestier call ' designer lightings'... go see... i was told one such switch ranges from $8 to $15..... then plus installation and wiring... cus usually hdb alr provide u the swtiches and power point liao.. so in order to do this, installation i duno hw much la but the switches alone is ex and plus re wiring of power point is abt $100+.. u tik hw many switches u need and hw many power point u need to move.. so its ex in total... this what my ID quoted me the other time when we wana do designer switches..... its abt $750.... we tik its ex la....

ermz.... if u reali wana sleep on the new bed... then dun take out the plastic cover.... my coli slept on her new bed with the plastic cover till her customary then she removed the plastic cover.... that means u sleep la but with the plastic cover with it...

u picked yr AD date liao mah? the FSM also will gv u an chuan date de ley.. usually an chuan can be done on AD itself or a few days after.. best is AD itself la. cannot slp on the new bed till customary...im sure u still have spare room de rite? get a mattress and sleep on the floor in another room ist bah... an chuan sybolises gd marriage......

Air... dun sleep on the bed ist.. if u gg to have customary in feb means yr gg an chuan.. if u sleep on it liao then it will be meaningless to an chuan le... go buy a mattress from sea horse and sleep in another room ist for temp.... we did this lor.... me and hb went seahorse get a foldable mattress at $39.90 oni, sleep in another room... we have the new bed and new mattress liao but we din sleep on it.... even the foc pillows we din touch we din use.....dun take out the plastic cover as well.... a few days b4 the customary then go 'decorate' like put mattress protector, put cover etc... now beta to leave it as it is ist....

Care to share why now u believe? smthg happen? me and hb staying tog liao now.. after ROM and b4 customary.... we din sleep on the marital bed thogh... but just wana know the impact and consequences?? why ar??

as long as the both of u like shd be fine and ok then bah.... dun wori too much la.... =) follow yr heart.. again, i tik u need to be hardworking ley as in finish liao must refill, then do cleaning of the holes.... smtms its hard work also to make the plce clean and neat lor... for me, im just worried i lazi clean la u know.. got the sink to clean alr so mafan liao keke but again like what the ppl here comment, its nice and IN.

normal ones will be at cold storage, ntuc, carrerfour lor... but hor, if u have the budget, swissotel stamford hotel's the pasta restaurant's ham not bad wor.... i forgot the name of the pasta restaurant le but 2 years back i tried, pretti gd wor!
