  3. Ok, I think you are right cos need to check electricity and check water flush. So I went online to open the SP Services account: http://www.singaporepower.com.sg/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/guid/80626757-af6c-2e10-7eb5-8981d180e111?spstab=Our%20Services It requires for appointment date and time so I choose this coming Sat. wah! u take 172? where u stay and work woh?
  4. Thanks all! Hope able to upload the photos later tonight and share my comments on the SMALL house. 2Roomer, good question! LOL! let me check with my friend.
  5. Hi All Collected my keys yesterday. I checked the status regularly on HDB website via Singpass. It assigned me a sinfully early timing of 8.10am (I am staying at CCK btw). So I used the change appointment function below to change it to 2.10pm, took half day leave only. Receive the letter on keys collection few days later. Instruction on what to do on the day was stated clearly in the letter. It also stated what payments are required on the day. Yesterday, I reached HDB Hub at about 1.50pm. As per instruction, I need to purchase the Fire Insurance at Level 2 first. Took a Q number and waited about 15 mins for it. The process was rather fast. Upgraded the fire insurance from Etiqa Insurance and paid for 5 years as they are giving 1st year free. They allowed to postpone the effective date of the insurance even though I purchased and paid up. As currently, there is $0 value other than the building structure. So I requested for the latest effective date possible, ie. 6 months later. After that, proceed to level 8 to get another Q number for keys collection. Waited rather long here, think more than half an hour. The process is also rather fast with lots of signatures required. The officer advised to go to level 3 to make payment and can go to Level 2 Singapore Power to open account with them. Making payment is swift but when I saw the LONG Q at Singapore Power, I was taken aback. Saw a notification that we can actually apply it online so I decided to go back to Level 8 to show the receipt to the same officer. No Q is needed. The officer advise that if I do not want to reno now, I can actually open the Singapore Power account later as even though there is no usage of water and electricity, there will still be some charges (not exactly know what). So I decided to open account later. With the presentation of receipt, the officer passed me 1 file with all the documents inside and another pouch with all my keys inside. I have a total of 12 keys. Main Gate x 3, Main Door x 3, Bedroom x 3 and Letter Box x 3 Left HDB at about 3.10pm. Immediately go to my new house and open key. I did not do any ritual at all so dont ask me. lol. This is the 1st time that I step onto the estate. My neighbours has created facebook pages and whatsapp group to share updates and bulk purchase regularly. So I know that many of them had actually recce the site even when it was still totally fenced up. Sorry for the lengthy post. To Be Continued with pictures later...
  6. ah... I only left with this choice on high floor, so no choice if I want high floor. I am at #14 so I think the staircase usage shd be little. I dont want to have big bathroom, just want the right positioning so that i have corner for wet bathroom and maintain the rest dry. I think so far I am quite happy with my unit layout. kitchen is small - but I seldom cook bedroom is not too small - can put queen size with small wardrobe but I am going for bigger wardrobe and reduce to super single / single living room is big - GREAT!
  7. Welcome Wild Ginger! You are our 20th 2-room member! Mine although not corner, but is also stand alone, with the ktichen side facing another 2 room ktichen and the other side is staircase.
  8. hahaha, understand. surprised that you are so updated with the status, lol. 807A collected keys on 28 Sep. where is ur bto?
  9. Hi Can you quote for Daikin System 2 aircon (9k x 2) and (9k + 12k). How many years warranty on condenser? How many years warranty on fancoil? What type of copper pipe will you be using? What type of insulation will you be using? What type of drainage pipe will you be using? Will you be installing the bracket and powerpoint? If not, how much will it cost? Thanks.

  11. eh? u stay CCK? or ur new unit in keat hong also?
  12. Thks fridgebuzz & coolbunny! HDB website update first and follow by the hardcopy letter. All information will be in the HDB letter. My PCD was along Q1 2016. Few months back changed to Q4 2015, then change to end Oct. Next is HLE approval. My HLE was approved on 28 Sep, Based on my neighbours updates, 1st block is getting key on 28 Sep, 2nd block on 5 Oct, 3rd block on 12 Oct. Mine is the 3rd block (can conclude this via the HLE approval date). My neighbour in the same block actually is collecting on 12 Oct but dunno why, me and another few same block neighbours' status only got updated on yesterday, which is a Sunday and we are all collecting keys on 19 Oct. Those getting on 12 Oct got their updates on 28 Sep, which is exactly 1 month after the HLE approval. So, we conclude that the key collection date is around 1 month after HLE approval and HDB will give you about 2 weeks advance notice. Can change appointment online. I changed my appointment from 8.10am to 2.10pm so that I only take half a day leave and going to HDB is nearer from my office.
  13. haha, thks all the bunnies, but I dont intend to move in lah. Cos now parents house location is much more convenient and need to take care of them too. Doing reno only maybe next year after CNY. Will be more like weekend getaway. MsBunny! I keep checking on your blog but no update since 7 Sep!
  14. welcome another 2 roomer, sendski! Woh, you want to seal bathroom door to your bedroom? why? Raised platform - raised platform is allowed but cannot with storage, as per HDB guidelines. But, I see many doing it. Shelter to wardrobe... hmm.. not sure abt ur floor plan, but not for me cos my shelter nearer to kitchen. anyway, after 1 whole week of repetitive logging into hdb and disappointedly log out... today finally status change to key collection on 19 Oct!
  15. ok, my 2 cents worth: 1) Replace the wall between bedroom and living with floor to celling wardrobe. Leaving a gap between the windows wall to build a ledge. Rationale is to let light flows from living room bedroom as my bedroom windows would most likely be covered by binds for most of the time for privacy. - take note on the hacking and haulage charges. No door? meaning if you want to air-con, it will not be cold enough unless u on both units. Still not quite sure of the purpose of this ledge. It take up precious space as your furniture cannot lean against the wall. Unless you plan to place things (eg: plants) on it. 3) Am intending to combine living area with dinning area. My sofa would be placed facing the shelter wall (thank goodness my shelter is near entrance. Would most likely mount a tv to the shelter wall. - You need to double check about drilling on the shelter wall, 4) Would built a shelf + shoes cabinet on one side of the wall leading from entrance to living area as I've noticed the entrance hallway is very wide while I visited the hdb showroom. The idea is to cover up shelter door as well. - that will make your shelter inaccessible? Also note the main door swing open and will hit your cabinet. Why dont you build your cabinet on the other side of the wall (behind the bathroom wall) 6) biggest headache for me is the bathroom as the toilet bowl is in the middle of the retengular bathroom. Not sure whether there's enuff space to place the sink on one side and shower on the other side as I've wanted wet/dry. - bathroom, all the 2-rooms owner's biggest headache... think quite difficult to have the wet area as you marked in the drawing. It takes up lots of space too. Strange that they place the toilet bowl in the middle of the bathroom... -_- Try to talk to few ID and check the possibilities and what alternative they suggest.
  16. Refer to this thread on how to upload photos: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/topic/60248-guide-to-upload-photos/
  17. welcome Ankle! not an issue for washing machine cos there will be water tap and drain pipe connected to the bathroom. HDB even pre-built the water inlet and drain pipe. For us to visualise your idea better, I think you need to provide us with your floor plan.
  18. my side 1st block will be collecting keys on next Monday... Mine probably mid Oct.
  19. I met up with 1 ID last week, he never say anything of getting approval. Anyway, I dont think it will affect the floor and wall finishes.
