  1. underneath the table or above table? hmm... Think this is a common request. My ID do it for me foc :x
  2. No, do not accept. then you db box cannot open how? or the bottom sliding door taller than table how? just tell them nicely that this is NOT acceptable. They have to bear they own cost of doing things wrongly.
  3. Carpenter will have to rectify whatever defects you spotted. Dont worry, I think everyone have problem with the carpenter, lol. As long as they rectify swee swee for you can liao. I got carpenter to come back to rectify my platform bed at least 4 times after handover. Is the DB box door done by the same carpenter? If yes, they would know the measurement of your table and hence do the door according to the measurement. If no, they there should be communication in advance on the measurement.
  4. Nice! Your original bathroom got 2 doors right? so you sealed both and open a new door facing living room? Didnt know that this is allowed.
  5. hmm.... I dont have additional layer between the vinyl and cement screed. Not sure for @coolbunny
  6. hmm... guess u will be laying vinyl? Not sure about parquet / wood, but for vinyl, it is rubber and bendable. my vinyl contractor said after few months, the vinyl will bend slightly in accordance to the cement surface, but then I still can feel the hollowness in certain corners after 1 year. compare using unit price is more accurate than lump sum. cos area should be the same for all suppliers.
  7. I got no one to compare with but I think it is definitely not as good as the contractor u engaged. As for topping up, Mine was just nice and top up is not necessary. But I think the quality is ok, of cos there are certain corners where after laying the vinyl, u can feel some hollowness when u knock on the vinyl but it does not affect my daily life. FOC so I cant complain. And also the waiting time can be very long. I waited for 6 weeks before checking with them (cos I was not hurry to reno). They took about another week to schedule the work.
  8. Hello Ankle! long time no see! 1) Cement screed flooring (bedrm + living) - FOC from HDB 2) 6ft wardrobe - $230/ft with soft closing casement door and internal polygon (note: sliding door will be slightly more expensive) 3) 9ft kitchen bottom cabinet - not sure cos mine is packaged
  9. If needed to, you can just edit your post and dont need to create a new post ya. During application, you would already submitted your HLE, income info and cpf statement. When you are being invited to do flat selection, HDB will list down the necessary documents to bring. Just follow their instruction will do.
  10. i got my blackout curtain for both living and bed rooms at $500 nett. just 1 layer though.
  11. yes, thats the good thing about buying lightings in sg. i m lazy, i bought all my lights ceiling fan heater bidet spray toilet paper holder hob kitchen sink n tap all from 1 shop... the switches workmanship really cmi. hope your misadventure ends there.
  12. Ok. I know you cant see from this picture but my blind was drilled onto the aluminium frame.
  13. if i rmb correctly, u did not do a door, just a partition. is the partition right beside the window? actually i think dun need to "decorate" the window lah. cos every item that you add on to the house, u need to clean it. so for me, the lesser the better. hello andrew! reminds me of your house's good view!
  14. if u see the units becomes not available, means started already. My time it reduce by 2 or 3 per day, some days 0. but then my time I only have 47 units so not sure how it works for other bto. think most impt now is for you to rank your preference. those u see no longer available gotta strike off and go to the next preferred one. good luck!
  15. I can't recall cos mine was 4 years ago... just follow what the letter states bah. you can just save the file into a thumb drive and print it at those fuji or kodak shops if needed to print.
  16. hmm... why do you need a curtain / blind in the bathroom? I believe the existing is already a translucent glass? It will only show your silhouette at night. And you are at the top floor. Are there opp units that can see your bathroom clearly via the window? Are you going to open that window most of the time? I just realised that I did not take any picture of my bathroom blind. Will go take a detail look this weekend. Initially I left my bathroom window open wide most of the time and roll down the blind whenever I need to use the bathroom. But lately getting lazier to roll up and down everytime so I have been leaving the blind rolled up and just open the window a small gap for ventilation, probably also because I got 2 doors so ventilation is not an issue. So the blind is sort of "useless" now. But this is also because my opp neighbour (who is only about 3 meters opp) is still no where to be seen...
  17. I asked the electrician for his contact back then but he very loyal to my ID leh, say anything look for ID... >_<
