    Hi renofam, we've moved in and have been crazy busy cleaning, unpacking and setting up! The amount of work is unbelievable. And I hadn't known dust could be so stubborn! Seriously stun like.. Kangkong. ANYWAY- anyone has curtain recommendations/contacts? Ideally with quite a range of options/cloths (not the stuffy kind) and affordable thankks guys I wub yous!!

    I have a good feeling about your home We moved in two days ago!! And cleaning and unpacking is CRAZY. Like, seriously. Bought the melamine thing you recommended from daiso today! The husband is very impressed haha. One more place I associate with you now!

    Swatches are not good representations! Hubs and I went to showroom for our own countertop. I reckon you'll get a better idea tomorrow when you see the slab, feel it, and compare both prices. You'll def be better placed to make a decision tomorrow than atm! So have a good night's sleep soon and a yummy cuppa teh tomorrow, and you'll be all set! Okay la remember to pray also haha. So if I got it right, you're saying that solid top is your favourite look and it also happens to be the cheapest plus you've worked with it before and know what it needs, but, quartz is superior (because?) so if a good price can be procured tomorrow, you'll get that?     Hii darling, I'm at ikea tampines now! Which I've come to associate with you haha. Babesy, here's my honest take: when it comes down to it you're someone who values quality and design over price. So even if you find a cheaper offer and go for it, you need to like it, otherwise I imagine you'll stare at the installed piece daily and eyeball every flaw you discover :Pp I think you and the renotalk community have done impressive research and knowledge sharing; methinks it's sufficient? So... Discuss with your hubby a price you're both comfortable paying, then get the best that budget can buy.     Ahaha not quite, we had multiple errands to run hence the rush. We just went into gain city and bought the fridge that best fit our dimensions! Then hubs already had a budget for washing machine so we just got whatever fit it. Totes in and out. I love fresh flowers too! I used go to the flower warehouse once a week, a few bunches make a glorious difference. Some flowers dry well too so these can keep for months!

    Ahaha Google says 9 out of 10 prestigious hotels in sg use simmons! Buttt, I'm tending towards tilam king, I like their focus and, support local! Haha. We wanted to go down today but got sidetracked by how close Gain City was (we were eating at serangoon gardens market). Ended up purchasing a Hitachi fridge and LG front loader; I find it v curious that all the peeps recommended Hitachi! Is it really good? Or is Hitachi giving them more commission hahaha okay cynical side peeping out. Alright, hubs is done with the payment, I gtg. Might post a few photos when freer, have a blessed weekend everyone!

Technically, no actual updates because I haven't popped by my place since last week, but my fingers feeling itchy so here's a photo of our almost-but-not-yet-final-because-of-countertop kitchen! @bykaraanne: eh Sauron, your confident prediction was absolutely right! They didn't fudge, but offered a 30% discount if we would keep the piece they wrongly installed. Hubs never consult me just tell them nope, bring our piece of wood home =Pp but they'll only do it this Saturday @Lazyfatcat007: I'm always happy to know this little t-blog was useful to someone! I really like renotalk's community spirit and hope it continues for years @zen_zen and curahee: Louvre door was $400 I think? Our toilets and kitchen doors employ a method called Swing and Slide!
