Had not been posting for donkey months. Jus to check. It seems that they have to drill the bolting holes on the floor. In this case, is the waterproofing intact? The person who contacted me was 'Peter' (introduce as the new contractor for this toilet issue. No number displayed for the call made) and arrangement had been made for next Saturday. Let's juz hope this is the last time we r changing the toilet bowls due to back flow. Its been over a year since some of us had moved in n they had failed to resolve the issue despite several attempts. Sometimes 1 juz can't help but wander wat e authorities r doing abt it........ -

I personally think its the piping problem. But the easier way out will be to say its the bowl that is giving the problem. I've just contacted them to make yet another appointment to change the toilet bowls..... (What do you know..... The number times for changing toilet bowls in my unit is catching up with Hui's .) Happen to come across this term "Inherent Defect", was told that if we could classify our sanitary saga as inherent defect than the normal warranty clause will not apply and they have to make sure they resolve this defect irregardless of time frame. Don't know true or not. -

Had been a silent member for a long time. Had the same problem with the toilet bowls and still having the same problem. Not to mention that we had both our toilet bowls changed TWICE! since our moving in last august 2007. My wifey and me are starting to think what is going to happen after the warranty from HDB expires and we are in need to change the toilet bowls due to ageing of material or the other reasons. Who is going to rectify the problem then and at whose cost?? Now.... To let off some anger. I spent so much $$$ for the unit and they are using my unit as a lab mice to test their toilet bowls. Not to mention, I have to take leave from work in order for them to perform their experiment. Where's the justice in this. Will... some may say that leave are meant to be cleared.... But look.... It not meant to be cleared in this manner lor. I got better uses for my personnal leave. Felt better. Thanx for lending your ears (eyes) -

I've heard that there were a few units with the same problem. I dun agree as I have both my toliet bowls changed by HDB due to the exact same reason. But sad to say, after changing the toilet bowls, the problem still persist. I've feedback to HDB and they say that they are trying out a different brand of toilet bowl. If the result is good, they will change it for me again. -

I also installed the Castle Lock. But I went a step further by getting the 'Key-A-Like' for the main door as well. It cost me $180. One thing I want to point out about this lock is that the spring release is not as good compare to Duro. (ie. You have to manually adjust the locking pin to open the grills as the pin doesn't retract fully when you onlock it.) (Key-A-Like ==> Using 1 key to access mutilpy lock.) -

Bought 8 pieces of Ikea mirrors, the kind wth curves, my carpenter took 4 hrs and still did not manage to get the mirrors into the holder! The problem? The mirrors are not identical hence will never fit into the holder!! In the end, had to stick the mirrors onto the wall. That happened after THIRTY (30) holes were drilled into my living room wall My carpenter told us Ikea mirrors used to be quite evenly shaped so I figurered its either we are super "lucky" or the quality is no longer there. Just to warn anyone thinking of getting the same kind of mirrors, its $29 for 4 pieces. -
