  1. Hi Silver88 yar i agree with cantona7.. one shouldnt quite decide on an ID based on pics... a good photographer will be able to hide all flaws and beautify many things.. it seriously wont be a good gauge to make such a huge investment on.. afterall, we are talking about minimally staying in your house for a good 5 years, if its HDB lar.. also, u nid to consider workmanship.. a higher cost and nicer pics may also mean better quality of materials and better workmanship. another aspect is the services offered by the ID.. for example, like in my case, im very much getting an ID coz i nid help with coordination of colors and furnishings, i want ideas on how to do up my nest (instead of telling them what I want and getting them to do just that) like what cantona has suggested, tink if you havent made an appt to meet the IDs, you shld do tat.. thru ur interactions, u can hv a better gauge of the ID oso.. details like how he bring across his ideas to you, hw u feel with him, etc will all play a part in ur decision.. Happi sourcing for your ideal ID
  2. Hi Am slowly startin to look at the electrical stuff that i'll nid for my new home.. thot of trying a front load washer... went to Harvey over the weekend and a salesguy shared wif me sm info.. he said a front load uses only 1/3 of the water used in a topload washer.. but the catch is tat it takes abt 1.5 hr to wash ...????? Are there any users of a front loader that can clarify this? If it really takes so long, twice the time taken for a normal wash in a top loader, it doesnt seem to make much sense to get a front load....
  3. no recommendation on brand/model at the moment.. but wen u hv decided on the model, u can try getting it from Goh Ah Bee 210 Hougang St 21 #01-247 Singapore 530210 t: 62888611. my parents and friends recommended them.. their price has been very reasonable thus far
  4. Hi whiteice78 personally, i dun find pvc kind of sofas extremely warm actually... or rather, my view is that both pvc and fabric type are jus as warm... in fact, wen i visited a custom-made sofa shop, the lady oso felt that both pvc and fabric type are the same (note that its not a sales tactic to make me get pvc sofas.. coz in actual fact, some fabric will cost me more) if u hv kids/pets, fabric may be a better choice compared to pvc/leather coz pvc/leather may get scratched.. whether its pvc or leather, u nid to minimally take care of it by applying those oil/cream so tat it lasts longer.. even if u pay for top grade leather, if constantly in direct contact with the sunlight, it will oso crack if you dun take care of it... just my two cents worth
