I visited some showflats for blk 79. I was expecting to see something more actually, ie the carpentary workmanship but I only saw some paintworks and false ceiling but was happy to bump into gadget man at the door. I must say that the room size is freaking small. : (

Hi, Tension_z here from Blk D. I think of most of our neighbours here are hacking the MBR wall to cut into the next bedroom to make a WIW to make space for people with many clothes. but of course the next bedroom will be very much smaller after that. I haven't commit to any ID yet. But also would like to start renovating soon. Like the idea of what you have suggested but would have to see how 'good' the price is after all the comparison. i didnt join the gathering... any updates of the hacking of MBR? i just came back from expo reno fair.. the reno. quote is as low as $21k but as high as $30k based on my similiar required, the cheaper one is giving system 3 aircon free, but i didnt commit. any comments?

hi doremi, will check out with my friend. only know that she use HDB default toilet design and default doors,her reno came with built in wardrobe for 3 rooms, built-in drawers for 3 rooms and drawers, false ceiling, not too sure if aircon system 3 comes with it. will take photo and post here if have a chance to show you what I meant by simple design. also have thought of a walk in wardrobe but I guess have to hack walls from another room to make space, but hacking walls to make 2 rooms into 1 is not recommended, heard from frens, next time if want to sell, will be harder as people will want 3 small room for a 4rm and not 2. just fyi.

hi, I think 3oK to 40K is on the high side. 25k still sound reasonable. depends on what they provide. actually 90 metre sq 4 room flat is quite small. I have a friend in punggol, same floor plan, same size, the reno. is about 10+ k and quite nicely done, but simple de. That was about 2 yrs ago.
