hey thanks for the advice. I paid via bank loan cheque actually but I didn't manage to borrow all, have to cough out some cold hard cash on my side. the last cheque only manage to cover up to 25% (of the second 35%), my terms are 25%,35%,35%,5%, very unfavourable for a consumer actually, all paid at commencement except for the last 5%. now haven't get pay...got to top up I think $3k+++ for the 2nd 35%... i think i better nego with my ID.

sure crowded. Either u know what u want to buy, go on 1st day (prevent out of stock), or go on the last day(lower price) but the model u want may be out of stock. if u fear of crowd, get the pricing from IT show, go courts or HN, to ask sales rep to match the price.

mine also with no veins. fear irregular veins pattern. the tile feel is quite different, those 2.80 type seem a little matt. i chose the $3.40 type, high gloss, duno whether it will maintain its gloss after prolong use. haiz.... ask u guys here, when u all do carpentary, ur ID collect the money when they start to measure or when you see those carpentary move up your house(haven't install)?

Just browse your quotation. Wish you smooth reno. too. Just a few qn, did your ID tell how much your homo. tiles range can cost? Cos the lump sum homo. tile I believe is a 'package', do you have only a few to choose from? there are many type of tiles(quality wise), rem to go with him to tiles shop and ask the sales to bring down the whole tile and please don't paiseh,step on it bare foot to have a feet. don't just touch touch, see colour than say ok.. lol. you are doing post form, hence it is cheaper, if you choose solid top, will be more expensive. did ID show you the diff between post form and solid top? hmm.. I don't want to ask anymore. hahahaa.... if it stays ard $15 000+++ (exclude lightings), it's good deal. do update us on the workmanship. =)

haha... then i think next time, before we sign contract, we take a photo of the ID 1st. don't take photo? than dun sign. if ID have clear conscience, he will not reject. Make sure it is a high resolution picture, best if you can get him to stand in front of his shop. if he cheats, run, etc. post it up.. u may say he can just quit and join another company, but i think his face will ward off any potential company./ or customers.. I seriously think that ID want to doa good job as well, it is afterall their rice bowl I am sure some ID surf reno talk as well..

I was quoted $80 per feet if i didnt remember wrongly... i heard of corian, montelli, sam sung, etc...just that as layman, i do not know how different can these solid top are.. ID say it is all the same, just about branding.. but i have some ID quote me $60 per feet for solid top, so i wonder why so much diff...
